I suppose being less realistic in colors and style (concerning the people you paint) might help. I have been told two weeks ago, that children can't bear with too dark colors, though I am not really sure how much of that is actually true and how much is due to the personal liking of the person who told me. But keeping it simple in form should actually work, coz it is truely difficult to take in several things at once when you are still young. I suppose you will find to a style that suits you if you don't push yourself to hard, but keep an open mind and experiment away .

I still have a loong way to go. I think I'm getting somewhere, but then I try to draw something and I still feel handicapped And I'm still trying to figure out a style for myself that I like. 

But I've found a bunch of awesome and inspirational illustrators on dA to watch. And I've also found some very helpful basic tutorials on youtube.

I'm getting there inshaAllah but this could take awhile

Btw, I had a dream about one of your art pieces the other day!!! The Fatima mixed media one.  My dream was me making an art piece and I was trying to copy your style and do something mixed but lol I couldn't get it and (using your words) felt handicapped

I'll be anxiously awaiting your digital artz! You have to tell me if it's harder to do because I always imagine that it's harder to feel like you have control when you're drawing through a screen... but I dunno. I guess it's better for when you make mistakes.
