What's the difference between "EighTEEN" and "SevenTEEN"? As long as "Teen" is still there, they are considered "TEENagers" Use your common sense. They're only adults if they hit 20 years old.

The difference is what you are. You become an adult at 18 as that's when you can move out of your house and move on your own. You do not become an adult at age 20 that's when you've been an adult for 2 years.
