Yep, the idea behind OG Sonic was more straightforward, less convoluted, and better told. SA and SA2 were good, but began to complicate things, and just about every game afterward was a blunder, IMO. Only recently with the additions of Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors did Sega pull its head out of its ass.
Genesis era Sonic has the best base for creating a comic off of. Post Genesis era, not so much (that was proven by Sonic X). And I think that despite its rough patches that the Archie series does a better and more interesting job of handling Sonic than Sega itself does.
Take that for what it's worth though.

Thank you. It's because... your art is amazing! And you like conker too! I don't see that much sonic fans liking conker also! He was my first childhood character! But then that changed when he started being too violent and my dad wouldn't let me buy a certain new game of his... But after I was old enough, I played it! Was a long time though... My N64 is so old....

Yeah, the N64 is pretty grandpa now, but Conker's Bad Fur Day was easily one of the best 64 games, and prolly one of my favorite games of all time. Sure it was violent and foul-mouthed, but it was hella fun.
