Hi again! I was wondering about how long it would take to get to a "non-amateur and above" stage with my art so I was wondering how long it took you to get to where you are now? Or to a point where you felt that your art was of an acceptable standard for your ROM hack.Β

Heyo! I think it took me about 2ish years to not feel like an amateur in terms of Pokemon sprites, and 2 more to feel confident enough to get them to ROM status. I learned a lot from repetition, doing one sprite a day. I also learned by revising older work. It's like a test to revisit your old work on occasion, a gauge as what else you've learned since then.Β
btw your art is far from amateur! You've developed a distinct style, you've experimented with new styles...heck, you can even animate. Give yourself some credit, squiddy.Β
