Hey, quick question from someone VERY new to digital art with respects to comics, what is your preferred software and do you have any working knowledge of Magna Studio 5...I am looking for a good program and some of these can get quite expensive, so I'd rather not guess at something, I would be using it with a Wacom Cintiq...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do about 95% of my work traditionally (Pencils & inks on Bristol). The only digital I do, for the most part is coloring. I stick to traditional, because of the collectors market for original art. It pays more than publishers

Currently I'm working for a new company called Box Press Publishing on their flagship title "Bloodlines" among other responsiblities. You can check them out here www.boxpresspublishing.com . As well as doing covers and pin-ups for numerous others. I'm doing the covers for the first 5 issues of Godsend for About Time Comics. #1 is out now. I've also just recently been added to the DC Comics stable of artists (waiting for official work).

I'm the Submissions Vetting Coordinator for Box Press. As of right now, Box Press is in production of its launching titles and still has yet to flesh out how it will be doing creator owned properties. If you would like, you could send me a couple pages of the script with coordinating artworks. I'll pass it along to the publishers and get their opinion. Be aware though...It could be a few months before anything becomes official if/when they want to publish it.
