I was going through your gallery, and I noticed you used paint for all your spritework. Quite impressive, but it does lack certain features. Have you checked out ASEprite? It's a little complex, but it's extremely useful.

I can't really give a detailed opinion because the sprite is too blurry, but it does look interesting. However, I will ask you to ask me first what do I have planned and if contributions are welcome, because works and ideas like this will get squandered if they're created without the proper context in mind.
Soma will not appear as an adult, which is why the sprite doesn't work

So then Soma's going to appear as a child just as I originally predicted
There's also some information about Soma I recently discovered. Β I don't know if you're aware or it. Β Apparently he was able to sense the paranormal around him since the time he was a child and that this made it hard for him to socialize with other children while he was growing up. Β That could explain why he's so nervous around Arikado, Yoko, Hammer, Julius, and Graham Jones when he first meets them in Aria of Sorrow.
Another thing. Β I believe it was Mina's family who sealed Castlevania inside the solar eclipse. Β Remember in the opening scene of Aria of Sorrow when Soma gets angry because he doesn't believe Arikado about them being inside the eclipse? Mina says, "Soma, listen to him. Β He's telling the truth!" That is why I believe her family performed the ritual to seal away Castlevania. Β There's also a few other interactions with her in that game that hint she knows more about what's going on than you think. Β One example being the fact that she's able to remain calm throughout the entire game.
Also are you guys going to try and explain why Soma's family is never mentioned in Aria of Sorrow or Dawn of Sorrow?

Ok, by points:
1. You'll have to tell me the official source for this information about Soma's sensing the paranormal. I recall no such thing from any source, and I have done research that would make Igarashi blush.
2. It was indeed Mina's family who sealed the castle. This information is directly mentioned in the dialogue of Aria:
Mina: Yes, people have prayed to eclipses for centuries. And the Habuka shrine is a shrine for this very purpose.
Soma: I understand now...
Mina: And usually, we only conduct ceremonies for Japan's eclipses, but...
Soma: In 1999, a ritual was conducted in Europe.
Mina: Yes... that's what I was told.
Beyond this dialogue, in Dawn of Sorrow's Library mode, a Hakuba priest is mentioned to be the direct responsible for the ceremony.
3. No. Soma is not the focus. Though there is a hint at Soma's heritage.
