Possibly more bribes to come!
An Unexpected Visitor Sarah paced the length of her room like a caged tiger, just waiting to be released in order to exact it's deadly vengeance. Her silk blouse felt more like a straightjacket, or a prison gown. A pearly pink, ruffly prison gown with a too-tight collar that cut off her circulation. The only comfort she had was in her faded jeans and well-work red Converse, which she was allowed to wear as long as she wore the blouse. Even so, she still felt like an innocent victim sentenced to life, or a virginal sacrifice.
"Sarah!" she heard her stepmother shout. "It's rude to stay cooped up in your room and ignore our guest, so get down here and help set the table before he gets here."
With a sigh of half-defeat, Sarah opened her bedroom door and begrudgingly walked down the stairs and into the dinning room. Her stepmother Karen was dressed in a simple yet appropriately formal black

It's no problem at all here I don't mind waiting, because I really like seeing your comments, as they help and make me smile. It is worth it for the comments alone I have been keeping very busy with other stuff happening, fanfic wise and around the house. And I'll be doing even more now that I don't have work tomorrow (the only good thing about the gov't shutting down).

Hi! Thank you SOOO MUCH for being my beta; I really appreciate it! If anyone is going to know in advance what happens, I would rather it be you. Your sense of how things fit together, as well as keeping faithful to canon, is just awesome!!!

you're very welcome, indeed! I should be able to get to HTWP over the next few days. I wanted to get some of my own story ideas (including one for the contest) down before I plunged into yours. Yay for approved advance notice. Awww... thanks.

Very welcome!!!

I think that my Muse just needed some space and time. The burden of the fandebt payoff was greater than that I thought, so more time to rest and recover. I've posted a new journal, explaining a little bit.
(side note... I keep hoping that my Muse will name it/him/herself, for ease of reference, you know?)

tmwillson3 In reply to Kyndsie [2013-09-02 07:55:43 +0000 UTC]
Sometimes, space is your best friend Saw that! Tis interesting how the Muse works sometimes....
Hmmm, see, for reference purposes yes it would be nice. Actually having to give it a gender, and then a name though, which might be longer than what it is currently called (because I am a lazy typer), is a problem because then comparisons start to get made, whether male or female. And do you really want to make fun of your Muse more than you already do? Or maybe that is just me. It opens a new can of worms that I am not ready for, but perhaps you welcome it

Kyndsie In reply to tmwillson3 [2013-09-02 18:05:38 +0000 UTC]
Interesting and confusing when unpredictable.
A name ---> personality. I'd rather not impose a personality on it unnecessarily. We'll see. I don't make fun of my Muse. We tend to have a fairly healthy working relationship. I rarely get writer's block, and I'm rarely compelled to lose sleep in order to write.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
tmwillson3 In reply to Kyndsie [2013-09-03 01:17:59 +0000 UTC]
But that is ok! Confusion can be worked around, and while interesting is a relative term, it still means there are surprises
Agreed. It will be itself, without any help from us That's good; I do to mine but trying to do it less. It likes a real conversation sometimes While writer's block is not an issue, sleep deprivation certainly is. Goodness gracious, if the Muse gets too excited, it takes forever to fall asleep.

Reminds me of that old "curse": May your life be interesting
Yup. I think that I had enough of weirdness at various times in school that I'm not going to try to irritate a staunch ally. After all, I've impressed most of my teachers without really having to try. I know! I have lost ideas on occasion, when I didn't get the seed of them written down, but that happens to everybody.

tmwillson3 In reply to Kyndsie [2013-09-04 01:32:38 +0000 UTC]
Yes! A great curse to have!
Understandable. Having the ability to do that is nice, right? It's amazing how hard it is to find good grammar in engineering, so I pride myself on that. Sounds like you have had that gift for a while Lost ideas may be lost now, but you never know when they might come back, slightly recycled/reused

Kyndsie In reply to tmwillson3 [2013-09-04 03:53:21 +0000 UTC]
Ugh. Only sometimes.
definitely nice. Good luck with that! Long enough to have forgotten its rarity. True. The subconscious never really lets anything go. It's a matter of the Muse choosing to shop there.

tmwillson3 In reply to Kyndsie [2013-09-05 05:06:26 +0000 UTC]
Interesting is always better than boring. That means you are doing something with your life, like writing to very late hours that one shouldn't but couldn't help......
The Muse likes to pick and choose where stuff comes from, which is good. The subconscious has a lot of choices, so I'm glad the Muse is picky!

I know you love Captain America, but I don't know if that love extends to Chris Evans. If so, he did a live online chat with his fans today. You can watch the video here: starkient.tumblr.com/post/5894… (He's awesome!)
