Ah, thank you, I'm sure I will, I've just started that adventure that is realistic shade and highlights. XD Or at least, I'm trying to. It's hard with the lack of crit, though it's also understandable why people are afraid to give it here.

When you post images you have the option to request critique. People are reticent to give any if not requested because artists love their work too much sometimes and tend to become defensive. The option is there for those who feel they are mentally and psychologically prepared to deal with critique. I also would advise you post slightly bigger and completed images. Its hard to give an opinion on an unfinished piece.

True enough. XD Hopefully I'll have more to post here soon. 83 So far the one icon image, the small one, is a 500x500 image, but since it was a commission I don't feel comfortable posting more than a watermarked image of the finished to size piece. I think also that the option to request critique is only for premium members, and I have yet to purchase a premium. XD Hopefully just my posting that it's requested would be good enough. 83 Thanks for the conversation and advice! I'll hop to uploading finished, larger images.

You are right, the request critique is a premium feature, never really noticed. But no matter, all you need to do is ask for critique when you put down the description of your image. That should do it. And I don't think you should be too afraid of loosing your pic. All my works in the gallery are commissions. I post them under creative commons which means people can download it and use it for their games as long as its just personal use and they don't sell it. My clients get a good enough resolution to print big posters out of the file.

I think I'll ask my commissioner if she minds me posting it, but I wouldn't put commissioned work up with a CC. Just my way of thinking I guess. I'm too worried about that kind of thing. XD Even if I'm not the best and my art likely won't be taken, but still.
