Yeah it's nothing serious. And at this point it might not even turn into a sinus infection! I am feeling a lot better since I last sent that message so maybe I'll get back to note making soon! Also we just had a ton of snow here so we have a lot of classes canceled and everyone's in a good mood! I still have a class to go to today so far though :/ gives me a reason to come to north campus and have a proper lunch! D: hope you don't get sick!!!

That's good! You say that as though these things always turn into sinus infections. XD No pressure, get back to them when you feel up to it~ I've been neglecting responding to some things too (I'm not sick, but I'm on this medicine that makes me kinda light-headed). Oooh, nice! 8D That must be fun. Stay warm though! What? So each teacher's choosing whether or not you can stay home, huh? XD Over here it sprinkled last night- the first time in months. California isn't in a polar vortex, but we're in the worst drought we've had in 100 years... and we began recording 100 years ago. 

Well so far I haven't, which is good! But my brother may have gotten a sinus infection or something. Parents took him to the doc just a little while ago. :T

IT'S BECAUSE THEY DO. Watch I'll jynx it. Luckily my dad has doctor powers and just brings home the best antibiotics whenever he feels like it so I usually get over it pretty fast ;D (granted I'm no longer "home" so they'd be a bit longer in getting those to me over here ;w; ) Ok ^^ I missed classes for a day and have been half-paying attention in the classes I do attend so keeping up with all that is taking some time... (D: Be careful you don't faint!). It was fun, for the people who weren't sick. I stayed inside like the scrooge I am because playing out in the snow and cold at 2am doesn't seem like the best option when one is ill. It was fun watching all the college students suddenly acting like 5 year olds though ;D Lol sorta. We'd get classes canceled halfway through the day and strange things like that. I just want to stay home for the rest of the week but I don't think that's gonna happen :c Oh no D: hopefully that will change soon??? California is probably barely older than 100 years anyway, u westerners' states r so young we got here in 1607 wut now?? //shot 

Oh good. But yeah that's bad. I hope he gets better DD:

D: They do, huh? And you seem to get sick pretty often. But that seems handy! Ah, so you still have a lot of school work huh. D: But it must be nice to get to stay home while you're sick without having to worry about making things up because of the snow? And that at least  sounds fun!  Well I hope you're at least able to relax as much as you need to to get a clean recovery. D: It doesn't look like it'll change soon- supposedly we'll get rain tomorrow, but after that it's back to the warmer temperatures. Hopefully that prevents people from getting sick/ helps people who are sick get better though! XDD Indeed, anything over 50 years old is "historic" here. Alas, the US cannot compare to the middle east!

Me too! It seems he may have some sort of lung infection, but at least now he has a doctor's note and can relax instead of trying to do school at the same time.

That's the thing though, I've actually been really good at not getting sick in college this year and then all of a sudden I'm sick :c I was hoping to keep this up, see? D: But yeah, it is nice. And since I'm taking off work, I have a lot more time to lie low in my room. But since I'm taking it easy (and especially now that it's snowy and icy) I'm not riding my bike and have to walk everywhere :/ Ah, me too. I think I'm getting there. Well I hope you get that rain, since you need it so badly. LOL And yeah, everything's old in the middle east... and places like China... BUT WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT 

Oh no D: Well that's good. I had to run all over campus to get my doctor's note, on foot, when I was feeling my worst (well that, and eat, and get medicine). At least it was warmer that day. But yeah, hopefully now he'll recover!

Huh, really? I wonder why? Maybe it’s because in college people take getting sick more seriously, as opposed to High school where some people want to be sick. XD But it is cold/flu season and if it’s that cold over there I imagine everyone’s staying indoors, so it shouldn’t be too surprising for the thing to be going around. I can’t imagine how people prevent themselves from getting sick if they have a roommate at college who is, though!

Well that’s good. ^^ Is your work at your college? And that sounds like a pain, but after a few bad incidents with bikes, I haven’t ridden one in years. lD

That doesn’t sound like it was fun. D: Yeah it is good. XD He’s doing better now at least.

In other news I’m going to try to respond to things soon- life has been a tad hectic for me because of the new ADHD medication I’m trying, and I started the quarter without any medication, so yeah. ;w; This medicine is a bit weird so I’ve been pretty distracted from things, but I think I’m getting back to normal, so I’m going to focus on responding to the stilt ideas note/ OHMB themes note/ composing a sketch dump (after focusing on school of course). And if I begin to act differently, that might be an effect of the medicine.

YES THEY DO because then you have to get your doctor's note yourself and lectures are a lot harder to make up in college than normal classes in high school are. Plus you're on your own and you parents can't take care of you ;w; I guess... I still thought I could beat it though :/ I don't know either, but my roommate's been sick several times without me even knowing it (cause we're not terribly friendly and never talk to each other) and I've never caught any of it. That has been a concern of mine though. 

Yep! It's on campus, albeit at the other end of campus, but it's a reasonable distance to walk from most of my classes. Biking is even easier. My bum knee has been super sore from all the walking though D: Oh no what happened

Turns out that for my scanner I need to download something off the internet to use it, but after that I'm planning on going through my sketches and attempting to compose a few sketch dumps of my own~ (though I'm trying to figure out how to make that work without photoshop still...).

Yeah. XD In college, getting sick isn’t a “Stay at home free!” card anymore. And if you have online classes, tough cookies, because you don’t get to hand anything in late- at least at my school. So when I got sick I just had to do my assignments like normal… And then if you go to school sick it’s awkward because no one wants to get sick. XD Well, I know there are certain medicines you could look into that help prevent you from getting sick, or help you get over your illness faster if you take it at the first symptoms. We have one called Zicam! You guys aren’t? Well hopefully over time you’ll get more used to each other?

Well it’s convenient that your work is at your school. Is that the photoshop stuff or something else? Oh no D: is your bum knee from that taekwondo thing a year or so ago? The bike thing wasn’t that bad, it was more like when I started I wasn’t good at it and got a few scraped knees and quit. Then when I started up again, I was better at it but crashed and sprained my arm. So I stopped again. XD I hardly ever leave the house though, so it’s not a big deal.

Yeah, but my brother and I tend to get lung things more often than sinus things. XD So I’d say it’s not that bad, but he was saying he was having trouble breathing when my parents took him to the doctor. But he also has allergies, and we’ve had a lot of pollen and stuff because we’ve had no rain to take it out of the air- after it rained (which was pretty short…) he was feeling better (antibiotics might’ve helped too).

Yeah. I’m going to try to get as much of my weekend homework done today so that I can do that stuff. The medication thing can’t be helped. XD I’m sort of surprised- it was pretty easy for me to write all that stuff up about my characters (well, not the writing part, but the motivation part) probably because characters are the things I enjoy most in a story. Of course there were things I accidently left out… =w=; Well, they don’t have to be that detailed (you’d sent me a reference thing for your main characters before, so I know that much about them, unless you changed things) and then you could focus on the issues you said you were having with each character, and surely the important stuff would come up as we discuss them?

Well it’s good that you’ve figured out what you need to do for your scanner. I look forward to it! Oh yeah, without photoshop that might be difficult… Well, what you can do is if you have a program that crops things, you can crop each scan to just have the images you want and upload a series of smaller sketch dumps? I know there’s a way to share a collection of images in sta.sh...

It feels longer than that... but yeah ever since I've been in college and having to do all this manual labor (aka walking and riding bike) my knee has been cranky :/ Ah D: LOL

Great! Well, I think it has to do with my problem with consciously examining my characters, which is difficult for me to do, even though my characters are the favorite part of my story too. It's also hard sometimes envisioning how I plan to use them in the story, which makes parts of it hard to articulate... But it turns out I should be sending them to you sooner than I thought XD I made quite a bit of progress last night (and stayed up till 1am) finishing Kione and she ended up taking up roughly 3 pages in Word so I've decided to divide my main cast into two notes to save your a ridiculous wall of text to read and to help you keep track of things. So I'm going to finish Crowspark and note you those three before starting on Floran, Kalan, and Esperanza. 

I was wondering what to do because it would take a while to crop and scan each sketch on a page individually (and I have a lot of pages to send you), then I would prefer to put a lot of those little crops onto one file. I know you can sort of do that with word but I'm not sure if you can convert it into something like a jpeg. In the end I might just end up scanning entire pages and posting those separately (and maybe do that thing with Sta.sh where you can put them in a collection, however you do that...). That isn't the neatest way to go about this, since there's a lot of crap on some of the pages I wouldn't normally add, but that seems to be the only option at the moment... That or wait until I get Photoshop, which I'm working on getting soon.

D: Well I hope you’re feeling better by now! Yeah, it’s been on a lot of commercials and stuff, but I think some person recommended it to my parents. It’s hard to say if it actually works though. XD  D: Ah… I wish we could be roommates! But I’ll probably be going to my next college (non community) somewhere in Cali, and by the time I do you’ll probably be about done with your college (I assume).

So far the whole “get your HW done quickly” thing hasn’t been panning out, so we’ll see how far I get. =w=; Oh yeah? Yeah, I had some trouble articulating my characters, but in part that’s because I was trying to keep it really concise (but also easy to comprehend) so I spent a lot of time changing phrases around and re-writing paragraphs. That on top of keeping in mind which things needed to be communicated was tricky. And I also find that I prevent myself from using words that I think are too jarring or biased when describing them, even if that’s the most accurate way to get at what I want the character to be like. XD;  That’s good! Though I wouldn’t advise staying up so late when you’re recovering from a bug. XDD

Well on some scanner programs there’s a “preview” thing you can do, where you put the paper down and click “preview”. It’ll show you what the page looks like, and from there you can take the selection tool, select an area, and click “scan”, and it’ll only scan what you selected. I’m not sure if that’ll work with yours or not. XD I wish that there was some program that would like, take a bunch of small images and arrange them in the most efficient possible way onto one new image… especially if you could do it directly from the scanner. Sketch dumps are time consuming for me because I spend all this time scanning in and then transferring, and then arranging select images. XD But it’s good that you’re making progress on that too!

Yeah, I am actually! Planning on taking half of the day to spend time with my mom who's coming down to see me (and shirk homework in the process...), and I intend to make use of my bike again this week so no more extensive walking around! Hmmm, well perhaps I'll tell you what my parents have to say about it? Awww :3 If that were the case then we'd truly be unstoppable! >:'D But yeah I wouldn't expect you to move all the way out here just for me (and the North Carolina locals here are queer folk indeed...). I'm not sure about me finishing college before that though. You got a head start on me after all, and it all depends on when you plan to go to an actual university. I've still got 3 years planned.

It sort of is, but since I'm planning on buying the new one I'm going to use on this computer I don't need to worry about that one. Plus moving scans around on PS doesn't require a tablet so that isn't much of a problem at that point ^^ Ah, my concept of time is weird so things seem like they should have been longer or shorter a timespan than they really are. Yeah! I feel I've known you for quite some time, perhaps from around 2010? I think that was when the UBF contest was held... Eh, it's not that bad. And hopefully it will get better once I start riding bike again. 

Since I seem to have forgotten, how old is your brother again? (or at least, how much younger is he than you?)

Hah, that's ok. I'm not in the best position to be answering a ton of new notes anyway, so having a bit of lag on your end won't be stressing me out XD Huh, so you had problems because you tried to adequately summarize your characters in something compact so that I'd understand? Lol I don't seem to be doing any of that with mine (and I'm sorry if that ever becomes a problem) but maybe I'll try some of that. It might help reign in my thoughts about the character I'm writing about more. Though with these particular concept sheets I'm allowing a lot of room to explain some speculation because we both seem to have a basic grasp of my characters already, which is why explaining some of these points can become confusing. Objectifying your characters sounds like a good idea too, though I know you did it to simplify your descriptions of them. Yeah... and I seem to have made myself extra tired that way too. But I made progress! Though I'm trying hard not to stay up super late again XD 

I know of this "preview" setting, though I guess I haven't heard of the idea of scanning just parts of the paper all at once because the only experience I've had with using the preview menu was with slide scanners, where you're supposed to scan the entire thing. I'll look into it when I download the program. I want to say there is a program that does that sort of thing, but I can't think of the name or where to find it. It has to exist somewhere... Speaking of! I found something a while ago that was a website that I thought would be really neat for us to use because it supposedly was tailored to people who were creating stories! I'll need to note you that before I forget.

Aw, well that’s good. Well hopefully it doesn’t snow or whatever prevents you from using your bike. Yeah! I’d be interested in knowing if it actually works, or if it doesn’t, what does? XD Yeah! >:’D Though we may or may not be more productive in terms of school work, it would certainly be fun. Yeah, I plan to do at least three years here at this community college (including summers- that’s how long it’ll take for me to finish the required classes + the classes that my desired college wants + the classes like creative story writing that I think will be beneficial in my future) and I’ve finished one, so I have the rest of this year and next year at least.

Yeah, so when are you going to get PS, do you think? I can’t say I have a very good concept of time, being ADHD, since I can’t remember approximately how long ago I was doing this or that… Yeah, I’d assume 2010, or 2011 at the latest- and I think we met in October, too. Ah okay. D:

Aye, but it does stress me out. XD I feel like I’m not making any progress on my story, even though I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately. I tried to talk to my dad about my story, because he’s rather educated (in everything, it seems) but instead of talking about the story itself he keeps going back to the process of story writing and I think he thinks my theme is too vague, or some how I’m going about the process wrong… in the end he concluded that I shouldn’t work very hard on the plot/story until I take the creative story writing class at my school. But I still don’t like the idea of putting working on the story on hold. >w>; I feel like I’ll get bored of it and forget about it, then. Plus, I don’t know how long it’ll be before my neighbor friend goes to college, and I need his help for comedy (he’s better at it than me). So in the mean time I suppose I’ll work on the characters (the demons, in particular). My dad’s other advice was to practice with as many small stories as possible, so maybe I’ll do less ambitious stories in the meantime, too.... But I digress, I think it’s the fact that I have so much to do and that it’s been sitting there for so long that’s stressing me out. XD And it also means it’ll take me a while to get around to whatever new notes you send me, coz I try to do the old ones first ;w;

Yeah. And then I re-read some of them recently and I think I got too wordy/lengthy on some things, so I hope they were actually clear. I did so because I realized I have an easier time remembering things if the topics are uniform, organized, and the text isn’t so long… actually, that’s what I took away from our refs for our RGOA rp, since I found I kept missing details (like how Gina hates rain) and had a difficult time getting the “big picture” from the refs we used (even for my own characters when I re-read them). Yeah that’s okay, since I already understand your characters’ general personalities from our discussions/previous refs. ^^ What do you mean by objectifying? Yeah, just be careful! I know once I like, almost completely healed from a cold and then I went back to school and stayed up late, and it came back worse than before. Good! And good luck.

I’m not sure what slide scanners are, but the selection thing is used on scanners (or at least, my scanner) that would otherwise have simply scanned in the whole page. Our scanner is Epson, I think. Though actually, I think we have two scanners, and it’s the program (which stays the same) that has the preview option. Perhaps when you download the program for your scanner there will be a website that details the functions of the program??

I know photoshop can make contact sheets, which maybe I’ll use next sketch dump. XD But I also go all composition-y and try to organize the images so that the characters aren’t facing the edge (a tactic to keep your audience’s eye from leaving the page) and I make the sketch dump long and thin so that one doesn’t get lost when it’s fully enlarged, so I don’t know if I’d trust photoshop to do that. XDD

Ooh, sounds good! I also found a Dungeons and Dragons character characterization system that might be an interesting way to look at our casts, which I was going to send you. Speaking of which, do you plan on responding to the note about the movie reviews and such? It’s alright if you’re not (since most of what I sent in the reply was kinda repetitive) but I would like to discuss the hero story frame thing I sent you, or at least consider using it. (I at least want to try using it for my story, though given the situation of my main character I’m not sure how well that’ll work).

Yeah I don't think that's going to happen XD I looked up the weather for the next week and it's just going to be rainy (bleh D:< ) Well I asked my mom and she says she doesn't really have an opinion on it because she's never used it and doesn't know anyone who has. I still haven't asked my dad though. LOL that's probably true, but we'd get famous with our art and stories and make a living that way ;D Oh really?!??! I didn't think people spent that much time at community colleges. At least you know what your plan is for the next few years though! (certainly more than I know about my future...). 

Well I talked to my mom about it and she actually encouraged me to get it soon because we get a tax write-off for buying a program for me! So hopefully I'll order it within a few weeks! I'm not sure about the state of my tablet though :/ At least I can use my mom's for now. October? Why then? For some reason I thought it was somewhere in the beginning of the year.

Really? I think you're making great progress ^^ I can imagine it can feel that way though if you really overhauled your story and have to redo a lot of things though :/ I can also see how that can be frustrating with your dad D: I think if you feel like you're on a roll with your story advancement, then don't stop! I want to continue helping you with your story too~ It makes for a good break from toiling with my own story and helps put some of my thoughts into perspective. That's interesting though, because I recently went to my dad with my story as well, though he doesn't seem to grasp the entire concept. So far I only showed him my Stilt Kingdoms note (mostly because that's one of the only areas of my story I haven't been changing yet XD), but so far he finds it very interesting ^^ But I put him to work and told him to research stuff for me, so he's not helping so much with the plot department. He's got it in his head that my story's going to help Spaniards identify with their country more and will radically change their culture or something crazy like that XDD But yeah, don't let it get to you, but I'm sorry he's not helping you like you would have liked :c But don't stress! That's why I'm here Get to what you have time to answer. I think we're both in the same boat in that regard ^^'

Oh no, I understand yours just fine. I actually like the extra things you throw in about your characters when describing them. But yeah I see where you're coming from. And by objectifying I mean taking an objective/unbiased view when describing something. Ok! I'll make sure to be careful. I have to get up earlier tomorrow so hopefully I won't stay up so late tonight...

Oh, well they're the scanners I use at work that scan projector slides to digitalize them. So they're very modified scanners that can't exactly scan a sketchbook as well like my personal scanner can. Oh ok. Mine's a Cannon, but I think the program will be roughly the same. Maybe?

Oh really? What are those? Ah, I see. I was planning on doing a similar thing with my next sketch dump, where I'd make clusters of sketches of the same character and separate them from the others. Oh so that's why yours are always so long and thin. I'm not a master of controlling file size so I'll need to learn that.

Ooh, speaking of rain it was raining yesterday morning here. D I spent the morning having fun and putting out buckets and bins with my mom to collect the water for our tropical plants. Oh okay. XD LOL. Yeah. >:’DD But it would be nice if we could do that anyways! Hahah, yeah, but because I plan on taking a bunch of practical classes I’d be there longer than normal. Usually it’s only 2 if you plan to transfer, 4-3 for Associates degree. But now I’m not sure if that’ll work because they changed some laws. :/ I don’t think most people know what they’ll do in their future. XD

Yay!! The tablet thing isn’t good, but Photoshop at least lets you do something.  I thought it was October because I think I remember joining the competition when I didn’t have school, and then tried to continue it during school. But I’m not sure.

So are you older than your brother too, then? XD LOL. He’s beautiful Lolol he has a photoshop class I was helping him with today and we were photoshopping/beautifying his face so he’s been like “I’m so beautiful” all day XDDD I’m not sure to be honest. :U Maybe coz I feel bad for not knowing.

I’m glad you think so, at least. XD I have a fear of not finishing it, and I know all I really have at the moment are characters. Then to be told that I can’t even move forward from where I am right now on the plot, by someone who usually knows what he’s doing whatever miscellaneous thing it is, is frustrating. D:  But I don’t even know if I should take his advice too seriously, because he’s thinking like Disney and Chronicles of Narnia, where they need to incorporate a theoretical back-bone to entertain that highly-educated audience. Mine’s going to be an anime-based comedy, but part of me would like them to be that high a quality. :V That being said, I’m starting to think about making smaller character back stories for miscellaneous characters that I can draw up (who won’t be in the comic) so that I can take my dad’s advice and make small stories as practice. But yeah, I don’t think I’ll stop. XD It’s great that your dad will help you on it. ^^ LOL. Huh, that’s interesting! :u I’ve never heard of scanners like that before. I was scanning in some stuff yesterday and the program my mom’s computer uses (for multiple scanners) is called ScanGear. Not sure if that’s compatible with yours or what, but I found out that we have a Cannon that works with it, too!

Ah, a contact sheet is something you use in photography projects- you take hundreds of photos, and a “contact sheet” is like a page or two with thumbnails of your best photos (like your top 10-20 you pick) arranged onto the same sheet. Oh, so did you find organizing the sketch dump by character more convenient? If so I can do that in the future too. ^^ I probably won’t have a choice this time, because I’ve got quite a few new characters and rough concepts to include. Yup! If it’s long and thin and can fit on a browser even at it’s largest, no picture will be lost. ^^ Side-scrolling makes it easy to miss things if there’s a lot. Yeah, that won’t be easy without photoshop.

D: Alright, I just wanted to make sure since last time we were discussing which notes we still had to respond to you didn’t mention it, but I’d be fine either way. ;D Don’t worry though, I understand the lack of time thing. Awesome! I wish I had the same sentiment towards rain... it decided to rain/sleet on my way back from my classes today and I hadn't expected it to rain so I didn't bring a raincoat so I was soaked and freezing by the time I got back to my dorm ;_; This is true ;D And who says we can't~? So were you aiming for you Associates? or are you just taking classes to gain experience, not exactly working towards a major? D: well I hope all goes well. I'm not familiar with that system.

Yep! LOL Mine's alright. He's tall, skinny and gainly, but has a decent face and I'm sure girls fawn over his muscles and tan (I'm also tan, I just don't like going outside to darken it like he does. Plus I have built-in guy repellant or something so it doesn't matter XD). Hah that sounds fun. I bet even my brother would enjoy something like that. You don't know? I remember my brother's birthday because his and my mom's birthdays are right next to each other. 

I understand you there too. I guess part of my reassuring myself comes from me knowing I can't imagine not continuing this project. My Stilts have become very much a part of me, and nothing can quite replace them ^^ If that's how you feel about your story, then you have nothing to worry about. But trust me, I'm afraid of that too. Yeah, sometimes you have to take into consideration where your advice is coming from. It's entirely possible he has no clue where you're aiming for with this and could make a wrong assumption. I think making some side stories for practice is a good idea I've been thinking of doing the same thing. Something simple, like my zodiac idea, or perhaps developing that concept with eye-clock guy ;D LOL my dad loves that sort of stuff, so he was very much on board with that. Hah, yes it is XD He's my motivator for this as well. He flatters me too much ^^' 

Oh, nonono. I now realize that that's one definition for it, but it also just means "to express something abstract in concrete form," or as I used it, just to "make objective". So sorry for the confusion there. Need to double check my vocabulary sometimes....

They're super special scanners ;D They're also real fussy :/ Oh, that's what you use. Yeah mine's a flat scanner used for documents. Well at least we know it works with the same company!

Oh ok. I think I've seen those before. Well, it was just an idea. I like it because it sort of gives some structure to your sketch dumps and if you're looking for a particular character you don't have to look so hard XD But if you want to try it out, great! Ohohoho~! I'm interested already. All these new faces ;D Yeah, I getcha. I do sort of like long horizontal pieces though. But not for sketch dumps XD

Ah, yeah. I have been meaning to answer it the whole time, don't worry. But if it's ok with you that I finish the older notes first, then that's what I'll do ^^ I might get them finished in the nearer future now that my big schedule crunch ended today! I've actually purposely been avoiding dA so that I don't get distracted ;w; but now that's over and I can hopefully turn my attention back to these very important things! If you're wondering, the "schedule crunch" came about because of all the make-up work I had to do before this week and then having my first midterm to study for (minus some time because I went and spent Sunday with my mom), but all of that's done now. 

Ahaha, well at least I know I wasn't the only one who tried (and failed XD) One day I'll realize that even the most small and innocent of messages we send can and will turn into monstrous walls of text XD Well, one of them was from when we were talking about christmas things and the other was mostly about miscellaneous stuff. I can't think of anything we really needed to discuss there so if it's ok with you I'll abandon them ("jump ship" as you say XD). Sorry about that. XD I wish you could enjoy the rain as much as we do too. ;D Well hopefully we can! Ah, no, I’ve been aiming to transfer. I actually think you can get an associates in less than 3 years, now that I think of it, because supposedly I’ll get an associates degree when I transfer (a nice thing to have just in case!) and most of the 3-4 years of my curriculum is because the school I want to go to suggests taking certain classes first, requires you take others, and then on top of all that I’m taking some things like cartooning for the experience. ^^

Okay. ^^ So did your parents say anything else about when you’re getting it?

Heh, I don’t think I could really judge how attractive my brother is, that’d be too weird. XD But I can say he has curly red hair, and unlike me, his hair is retaining its redness (mines becoming a weird shade of brown, which is normal for red heads as they age). He denies it, though- he says his hair is brown. XDD It is fun. ;D I could never photoshop my own face though. I’m just glad my brother has fun with it! Nah, I don’t. :C I’m god-awful at memorizing anything, especially something that only occurs once a year. The only reason why I can remember some of my friends’ birthdays is because they all seem to have been born in late June, for some weird reason.

Well I do feel that way about my story, but that’s why I’m so afraid of not finishing it! D: I’d hate for something terrible to happen and not be able to finish it- like if I went blind or died. Or even worse, if I never gain any traction and it takes like 6+ years for me to start posting the first pages then I’ll be old(er) and it won’t be the same. But I can be a bit paranoid/melodramatic. XD And writing the story is probably one of the most fun parts of having a comic, so I shouldn’t be rushing myself! I suppose if I do smaller more casual stories I’ll be less afraid, because then even if the worst happens I’ll have something made.

Oh yeah, it’d be neat if you developed the eye-clock guy more. ;D Oh! Maybe, you should consider doing ministories featuring stilts. Not characters you’ll be using in your main story of course (you want your main story to be able to stand alone on it’s own) but new stilt characters with new smaller plots within the stilt world that focus on things other than the existence of the species (which your main story is based around). Then you could enjoy your species regardless of how you intend to end your main story, and if you continue to make stories with stilts even afterwards no one will question it. You’d get practice drawing stilts and be able to develop their world/culture more, and can get the stilts and their world a following before even starting your story, so your main story can be something existing fans can look forward to. ^^ I was considering doing something similar with only Stranger, and now I actually sort of wonder if I should do something similar with demons that I don’t intend to give significant roles… Another advantage is that it’s harder for other people to steal your ideas if you begin posting comics of them, because it’s the un-used species that are the easiest to steal because they have no context and are less specific. (there will always be someone who will try to steal whatever you make, and unless they’re making money off of you there isn’t anything you can do about it… but if your characters are recognizable and well-used, it’ll be obvious that they’re yours and you’ll do better in any confrontations you might deal with)  It’s great your dad is encouraging though! And with a professional (he must be well educated if he’s a doctor, which I’m sort of assuming he is based on what you’ve said) adult on your side your end product will turn out much better. ^^

Oh no, it was more my fault because I wasn’t familiar with it meaning to make objective. XD I just think about the objectification of women. :C

Yeah! Ah, I tried doing that last time I did a sketch dump (though I did mix up some things) because I thought it’d also help to illustrate a range of emotion and such for each character. I think I was also trying to keep track of who I drew more often. But you’re right, I think it would also make it less of a wild goose chase. ;D Ahah, yeah, I realized there were a lot of characters I drew a while ago (specifically Asmodeus, and Leviathan, and also Satan but I think Satan’s design is the least finished still) that I haven’t sent because the most recent thing I sent you was the character ref thing… I also wanted a chance to write up some of my research to accompany the drawings, coz Asmodeus especially is chalk-full of symbolism. I’m just worried that what I send will be accompanied by a lot of text as a result of all the characters, and god knows we can only handle so many discussions. XDD Yeah! Horizontal pictures are more dramatic. ;D Though you could do it for sketch dumps if it was very thin and long! LOl, a side-ways sketch dump. XDD I sort of want to do that now, but I feel like the normal way will be most convenient for this next dump because you can fit wider areas on a rectangular computer screen.

Oh, nice! Yeah, I’ve been turning the image icons off on dA so that I don’t get bored and look at pictures. XDD Ah, so the makeup work was because you were sick, huh. D: I’ve got a midterm, but it’s doing a character line up. My math class doesn’t even have one. lD Grats on getting all that stuff done though! I finished some work early this week so I might get a tiny bit more time for other things.

Hah, thanks. I like what rain does to the land, but I don't like what it does to me XDD (and my hair...). Awesome! Oh ok, that makes more sense now. At least you'll get your Associates! Good luck with transferring though, and getting into your school of choice!

The tablet? No, not any word from them at least. I plan on talking to them about it once I get PS. 

LOL I gotcha. Red hair? Interesting ^^ My brother used to have nice big ringlets in his hair until he cut it so short :/ He's the one who gets the decent hair of the two of us and of course he's the one who cuts it all off. Really? And yes having a ton of birthdays in one month does help one remember them. 

That makes sense. I would almost not worry about the time it takes to make the story, because my story's beginning to encroach on being 5 years old and I still love it all the same ^^ But I get where you're coming from. We do sort of have a time frame in which we want to do all this. But yeah it's almost silly how just out of the blue I start worrying that I'd lose a thumb or my right hand or something ^^' And that's true! Creating it has been a lot of fun so far, at least for me

Yeah! I really like him as a character. Really? Can't say I've thought of it before. I like the idea though! ^^ A while ago I thought of something close to that, like I would take a hiatus from my story right after Carlisle attacked the Sun Palace and make a mini series about characters during the "schism" era of Stilt history. But making small snippet series about my Stilts sounds like a good idea! I'll have to think of some concept ideas on the side at some point... nothing too complicated because I need to put that brainpower towards my main story plot, but otherwise yeah! It would be like a Oneshot comic that people post in magazines as a preview of their main story ^^ And yeah it would be great practice (which I'm sorely in need of...). But you make a good point in getting the word out with my story. I've been somewhat afraid people would steal my characters, or my species, since I've posted them on dA and since haven't done anything with them... doing something like this would alleviate some of those fears. I like your idea of doing some mini series' with demons though! He is a professional medical doctor, yes, but he isn't a professional in research, per se XD He likes doing it though. He also likes collecting books about cultural and historical things, and is sort of like you in his interest in religion ^^ We have books about religion stashed everywhere about our house XDD 

I can't remember your last sketch dump, actually ^^' Usually your sketch dumps aren't hard to follow, and I tend to make out some sort of order in each of them. Ah, I see ^^ I'd love to see what you've come up with in your research, for sure! Yeah, it could even just be stilts doing cute things in stilt society- like if there’s a holiday or festival they have… small conflicts, like social dilemmas between a few new characters, small plots, etc. ^^ You could even possibly foreshadow things in your main plot, like maybe one of the comics has to do with the legend behind the soul catchers, to make them look ominous before your main story. Though if you avoid the things that will be important in your story (like history stuff) you don’t have to worry too much about accidently creating conflict with your main story. And yeah, if you keep it simple all you have to really worry about is the drawing, and you can focus your creative energy on your main story. ;D But yeah, it could like be a (series of?) oneshot(s)! Yeah, hopefully that would help there. That’s a large reason why I’m thinking about doing a story or two with Stranger. << The only tricky part about doing ministories with demons is I’m not sure about which ones I’ll use yet and which ones I won’t. XD

Ah, but you find that people who get jobs like being doctors or lawyers (my dad did law school) are usually good at even things they aren’t professionally trained at, because those are the people who were able to get through law/med school, so they’re diligent and determined individuals. But it’s great that he seems to be interested in what you’re doing!

It is dramatic. My mom likes it because it makes everything so lush and green. And it lulls you to sleep. So yes for all those reasons I like the rain. But I just hate going out in it :/ (Especially when it takes you 3-4 hours to do your hair to keep it straight and then the rain/humidity undoes all your work in a minute or so....)

If it makes you feel any better I don't know much about him yet either... Yeah! Maybe just showing/describing different parts of the Stilt world (like culture, stigmas, etc, like mutes and albinos) ^^ I'm not sure which era I'd place them in though. Perhaps I'll just omit information that would pertain to eras/rulers and be less specific in that regard. And yeah, foreshadowing! But yeah like I said I don't want to have my stories intersect at all, just sort of happen in the same universe. And yeah, that's true, these are more of a drawing exercise than anything~ And it would be ok if some things in that story aren't consistent with the main one because they're not really meant to be the same story. That's frequently the case with one shots and their corresponding main series, cause the creators were still developing the story at the time. Like in Attack on Titan the one shot had really tall trees ("big ass tress" -Levi) instead of an actual wall (which were somehow supposed to keep the titans out...) and 3DMG wasn't invented yet so everyone just lived in a universe where they could "jump several stories high," according to the creator XDD (there was also some possible foreshadowing about how titans were created, which is extremely interesting). So even consistency doesn't need to be a huge issue. But I'd love to see some mini stories with Stranger Though I can see the issue you'd have with making short stories with demons. Maybe just come up with your own demons and make stories with them?

Yeah, I can see the side story note getting a bit long, but I like the idea of sort of having a certain number of notes for each "story category." We have our four character notes, our two themes notes, our research/reference/info discussion note (I sort of want to make another one of these, or at least add some information to the existing one, about what I've found out about Spain), and then maybe a side story note we can create later on. Seems reasonable to me ^^ And then we have these, sort of just to catch up on miscellaneous things And yeah, more temporary discussion notes.

LOL Yeah in golf there's a term called "driving the ball" when you hit it (I'd know that because my brother plays golf) XD But because I don't keep those terms in mind all the time I didn't realize the pun until years later and I happened to be at my work and I literally stopped what I was doing and put my head in my hands for a few minutes, just because of what a terrible/amazing pun it was and how long it took me to get it.

Well that’s great! And that means hopefully you won’t have to resort to scanning each drawing individually! Because I did that for this last sketch dump for fun. Only it wasn’t as fun as I thought it’d be. XDD

I guess so! But it’s still odd because red hair is recessive, meaning we both had to get the recessive gene from both of our parents, and probability wise it’d be unlikely for either of us to have red hair, but then for both of us to have it is sort of unusual! But hair color inheritance is not as simple as some things because it’s affected by multiple genes and probably also conditions (like ethnicities that don’t normally have red hair can get it if the individual is malnourished). You have freckles too, huh? I think freckles look nice. But yeah, they often are associated with red hair, so if it was on your dad’s side too maybe you’d have it! And then we’d be like clones.

Well I’m not saying I’m old ;D I’m 5 at heart Actually I think they have braille keyboards, and I know for a fact that there are internet programs that have auditory reading systems for the blind because in my website class we had to type descriptions of the images we had on our websites for blind people, so that even though they couldn’t see the picture their readers could describe it to them with the text we wrote. ^^ So at least we could do story brainstorming still if one of us went blind! Sketch dumps may be a little less fun though.

LOL Yeah. ^^ And those things could be gone over again in your main story for the people who didn’t read the oneshots, but it would be a good way to get feedback on those things ahead of time too! Yeah, I think you could probably omit the era, though you could possibly feature some past conflicts and stuff that are later referenced and that might be cool… *Casually conflicts with my own prior suggestion* That’s true too, a lot of one shots are pretty different than the main story because the main story is a chance to start over and revise itself. ^^ I didn’t know about that, but that’s interesting! What a beautiful quote *tears up* I think the 3DMG thing probably makes more sense. Probably. But yeah, I think I’ll at least do ministories with Stranger to get his design out there as mine if nothing else and maybe some other semi-demon-related things. And yeah, I could possibly make my own demons to play around with but maybe I’ll just make new characters in a different world(s).

Yeah. XD But even so, I think it would be fun to do and discuss a bunch of shorter comics/oneshots, so it seems worth it to me! Okay! I think we should maybe have separate “research” notes for each of our stories- like Spain things for you and Demonology things for me- and then have the current reference/info note we have be more like, general story construction things that could apply to both of our stories? But otherwise yeah, I like the idea of sticking to our 2 themes notes, 4 character notes, 1 story-construction resources note, 1 short story note (just to start- if the short story discussions get lengthy we can have different notes for each short story, though hopefully with them being short stories they won’t get too long XD) and then possibly 2 specific research materials notes! And then these things. XD It may or may not be less notes, but it’s more organized-ish I think…! And then either we can make a category for the Stilts Ideas note, or possibly combine it with the Stilt themes note, or put it on hold till we finish the themes note?

Ok, I've been busy enough lately that I haven't been able to get to these messages recently, but it's important I tell you here and now that I GOT PHOTOSHOP. So in lieu of our talk of scanning things, perhaps I'll soon be making progress in that department as well!!!! Still no tablet though :/ Also related to weather and free time, we just got hit by a pretty strong winter storm that's got us under several inches of snow and it's amazing!!! So we have no school tomorrow, and depending on how the weather fares the rest of the week, we might be getting time off Friday as well. So perhaps I'll have more time to be productive? Though if it freezes and we loose power I might not be as productive as I think I would be...

I feel like my age-identity froze when I was around 15-16, and now I can't believe I'm older than 17 XD Though at one point I took a mental age test and it said my mental age was 48..... (and most people's mental age is supposed to be about 5 years older than their actual age... and I'm not in my 40's, sorry....). Oh cool, I haven't heard of that before! Yeah of course. I don't think I'd leave out any important details that apply in my main story just because I described them in my oneshots. And yeah, that's true. Though I'm not sure how much I'd pay attention to the feedback. I agreed with what you said a while back, about not wanting the fandom/viewer's opinions sway your decisions about your story too much. Not that I won't want to see them, but I do want to keep the audience's influence to a minimum. LOL Yeah, or at least allude to them. I think it would be sort of hard to base something in the Stilt world without involving those events somehow. Plus I like the idea of including some world details like that in my short stories as well. Yeah. I don't know how much revising I'll do, and hopefully I won't have to start over completely ^^' It really is! LOL He's a poet, ain't he? ;D I'd like to think Isayama put that quote in there intentionally to reference his oneshot XDD I think in the manga itself Isayama says one of his science/physics friends helped him come up with the idea for the 3DMG, and of course it had a significant effect on the dynamics of the story. And yeahhhh, it does make things a bit more realistic ;D Ok! That's something I sort of want to talk to you about too. Claiming my stilts as mine and getting them out there so no one can steal them is something that has been really concerning me recently. How likely do  you think it is for someone to actually steal them, and do you think what I've posted of them so far is endangering them in any way? I took down a lot of stuff (to keep some of my characters safe, as well as because a lot of the deviations were outdated and/or looked terrible), but I want to keep up things like my Floran pic. Plus taking everything down doesn't mean no one saw them, and they could still have done something with them in the meantime... I don't know I might just be paranoid. I still have a few general stilt things I left up, like lazy sketches, but I'm not sure if I should take those down too (I might soon just because they're not looking too quality these days either). I do want to get their concept out there, but I want to do so safely as well. Do you really think making shorter stories would help with that? sorry for that long rant, I just sort of needed to get that off my chest.

I think so too! Alright, we should work to include our separate research discussions in notes as well. I'm not sure if it's more notes or not, but maybe our information will be a bit easier to manage when it's divided into subject-specific notes instead of trying to fit random facts into a note with another discussion already going on XD So I think it's a great idea overall Yeah, I think the Stilt Ideas note might start to carry over to the Themes note once I start working on that one more. I still have some important things to iron out in the Ideas note dealing with defining the counterpart system before I want to merge it with anything theme-related. But yeah I don't expect to have that note last for much longer.

And I assume that means you’ve gotten your scanner thing downloaded as well, and possibly working? Ah. D: So then how do you think you’ll get a tablet? Well, that’s probably a good age to be frozen at. ;D Ah, they have brain age tests where you can test to see how healthy your brain is and they give you ages, but I’m not sure if that’s what you’re talking about. LOL. No, I wouldn’t expect you to be in your 40’s. XD I wonder too! I heard they have a charity for it in Texas, where they convert old donated computers into computers for the blind. But yeah, it’d be weird because it doesn’t need a screen, really. But I’d imagine it’d have a braille keyboard at least!

Okay. ^^ And yeah, I think it’s important to not listen to the audience in some respects so that you don’t lose site of what you’re trying to do in that story, because the story should be determined before you post it. On the other hand, since your story may have a lot of culture, if you post things about the culture and you get corrected by people from Spanish culture, that would give you the opportunity to fix it before the main story, right? Personally I’m worried about the emotional effects that the audience could have- like if they don’t like something, do you change it to please them?? That sounds like a good idea. Indeed he is! XD It would be interesting if he did. Well that’s cool! So then it doesn’t break the laws of physics in the ways that I thought it did?

Well I dunno, it’s pretty random. I mean, it depends on how many views your art gets, how many of those people are interested in the content, how many of them are the type to steal… But I honestly don’t know. :T I’d say not to worry about it too much, because no matter what you do that stuff’s probably bound to happen eventually, as it does to everyone, and there is only so much you can do to prevent against it. And there are trade off’s- like, if you have a lot of views, then you’re probably more likely to get stolen from simply because more people see your work, and you’re more likely to have one or two people who don’t respect artists or whatever. On the other hand, the more views you get, the more recognizable your work and characters and species will be, and so the more likely people who do steal your stuff will be spotted by someone who does respect artists and the more likely they will contact you or something. But that’s why I see the benefits in posting one-shots; the more you post, the more recognizable your species will be, and the more recognizable something is, the less unique looking everything else that looks like it will be. If that makes sense. XD Basically, the more recognizable and iconic you can make your species, the harder they will be to steal. And besides, if you can get popular with your characters quickly it almost doesn’t matter, because knock-offs will be compared to the originals and almost always aren’t as good. But that’s just my take on it. In any case, you’ll want to leave up some old pictures. They’re useful because the “date posted” on them can be used as reference to say, “I had this character in 2008” which, in case there are knock offs, proves yours is older (unless they came up with a similar idea on their own). There’s another thing you can do with the post office that involves mailing yourself a package that has things in it to prove that you had the products at a certain date but I don’t know the steps for that. :V But again, if you get known before people try to steal your work then people will know that it’s yours and you’ll have less problems.

Okay. ^^ I agree. XD Hopefully that will keep things more organized and we won’t forget notes or anything as often!

I got a new nifty Nikon camera Now I can take real pictures and not have to suffer under the tyranny of my crappy iPhone camera ;w; Especially when the sky from my balcony at college teases me with gorgeous sunsets/sunrises and my iPhone can't do them justice...

Good. And that's always a plus! I take it they're energetic? Grats on the camera!! Is it a digital camera or one of the bigger SLR's? It'll also be nifty for you if you don't have access to a printer at school. ;D  

I did! I got a hat that seems to be exactly what I'm looking for, and my parents got me a new computer, which we had said we were going to get anyways a while ago because my old one seemed to be on it's last leg, but we got that one a new hard drive which fixed the problem(ish) but not the lag... so I didn't think that I was still getting a new computer, but it'll be super useful for school and art things. ^^

Well dang, I can't take naps, they make me groggy. XDD But speaking of sleeping, yesterday I slept in almost till 1 for some reason, and the dream had you and Sleeves in it. It was weird. 

And also on the topic of weird things concerning you, my friend wanted to commission me to draw a third character of his named Gabriela, and I asked if she had green hair, and he was weird-ed out about how I guessed it right away. XDD Apparently he also has a bit of synestasia

Yeah sorta ;D I'm at my other relatives now though and they're a lot easier to be around. And thanks!! I think it's an SLR with interchangeable lenses I'm not sure how having a printer or not has anything to do with this ;w; I have a printer in my room, but as far as we know it only prints black and white :/ 

Great! I know how much you love hats ;D What kind of hat is it? And it seems getting a new computer for you is a good thing too. That's great that you have that lag fixed. Hah! I don't like taking long naps either. I prefer to spend my day doing other things, but I have the need to lay down occasionally and sometimes sleep longer than I want. Well that's good. Ooh, yeah, if it's got interchangeable lenses then it's almost definitely an SLR! At least I don't know of non-SLR's that have interchangeable lenses. My family has one that's Nikon (I think) so if you need any advice let me know~ Did you also get other lenses with it? Those are the expensive parts. And LOL, I meant scanner (my bad, I do that a lot) because a good camera can make up for scanning things in sometimes.

Yeah!! XD I'm not sure what it's called to be honest, but it looks sort of like a military hat, only it's much more casual and is designed for general wear. Someone said I looked like an anime character with it, and I'm somewhat happy but also somewhat unsure if I should be happy about that XDD One day I will photograph my collection~

XD Well I don't remember the dream well but Sleeves was sort of an antagonist/dangerous character and we had to defeat him or something and at some point I was teaching you how to use Sleeves' abilities, and you were able to use them. X'D 

Isn't it? XD Orly!?! Okay! I'll ask him- it should be fine because the characters will have a rather public use anyways. He doesn't really make characters- he's just a huge anime fan and he wants to be a programmer so he has a lot of computers (some of which he makes himself) and he decided to name each computer, and so he got the idea to have me draw them as anime characters. Their personalities/designs will be based on the types and uses of the computers, and he's going to use the pictures in videos on programing and stuff. But otherwise no, the only story he seems to be working on at all is OHMB. XD In part I'm using it as an excuse to force myself to do detailed shading/coloring that I usually don't do. ^^ 

He associates colors to numbers and sometimes to letters apparently! I brought it up because the G in Gabriela is green for me and that's one of the reasons why I guessed her hair was green. He has ADD so I thought he might have it too and apparently so. XD

Yeah, that's true. Oh good! Yeah, my mom and I already plan to read the manual in-depth so I at least don't break it XD I have a normal-sized lens and a longer lens, but not the super-long lenses that some people *cough*oneofmyotherfriends*cough* have :/ But I think I'll make great use of these just fine ^^ I can't wait to see how my pictures turn out Oh ok that makes more sense XDD Yeah! Though I have my scanner at school too, but I don't use it because I like having my PS around to crop things and such. Apparently I can do that with my scanner too so I need to learn how to do that... I asked my employer actually about it cause we use scanners at my job and she says I should be able to.

I'd like to see your collection ^^ I think I've discovered my odd collection/interest in recent months. One is that I LOVE pocket watches (yeah so no surprise I have one that's important to my story). There was a guy in my class last semester that carried around a really nice one and I would ask him to show it to me sometimes (cause I wanted it so bad ;w; ) My grandparents also have a really old one that they're giving to me in their will! But I can't cary it around cause it's so old D: So I've been wanting one of my own. Another thing I like are music boxes I grew up with at least three that were my mom's, but somehow we lost all of them :c To this day though I remember their tunes, and recently found out one of them was from the movie Casablanca (thanks to Film Analysis class)! Though many years ago my mom did give me one of her family's old music boxes, which is in the shape of a glass bluebird that spins when played ^^ I wish I had more though, that were as pretty as the ones we used to own...  long obsession rant is long XD

Yeah! My mom says it has to do with the stage of sleep you're in when you're napping that you're not always in when you're asleep at night. Oh really?? XDD That's pretty awesome actually. See, I wish I had dreams of my story :/

I've heard of another guy (one of my LPers actually) who built his own computer to record his videos, but that's really awesome! That’s good. ;D My photo teacher told me that one way to break it is to try to do manual focus while it’s set on auto focus. That and scratching the lense. XD Oh good, it’ll be handy to have both of those. Is the long lense called a telephoto lense? Oh you do? Well if you do a preview scan on some scanners you can drag your mouse across the image to “select” an area of whatever you’re scanning in to use it. ^^ A scanner will give you higher quality images than a photograph I think. I forgot you don’t have PS though. D:

Yeah! And thanks! Though it doesn’t have a solid/differently colored band over the visor like I normally draw- it’s all the same felt-ish material, so it probably looks a little more normal than those hats. I’m just going to do that for simplicity’s sake. ;D Ok! ^^ Oh, pocket watches are really cool! And it’s cool that you’ll get an antique one someday. But you need a more casual pocket watch eh? Yeah, I think that must have to do with it. XD There was something about being able to remember dreams better when you’re woken up in the middle of them instead of waking up when you’re supposed to, and if you take naps I think you’re more likely to get woken up prematurely. Ikr? Usually dreams are just nonsensical. XD Ikr?? I always want to have dreams with my characters in them, but they have been incredibly rare until recently. In the past couple weeks I’ve had dreams that cameo’d Belphegor (of all characters), then Cerberus (whose design isn’t even very complete), then the one with Sleeves, and then last night too I had a dream where I was Asper and later on I think Pesto was there (though it’s not very clear).

Nah, he doesn’t draw, and I imagine that’s why he’s commissioning me. XDD He doesn’t even have specific designs planned out for them- just hair colors and a few details. Oh yeah? ^^ I wonder if it was an emulator computer? That’s what my friend is building at this point.

Oh ok XDD Wouldn't have guessed that. I'll try to keep that in mind And yeah scratching the lens is probably the worst case scenario, since that is the most expensive part of the camera! I still have the bluebird one ^^ Though I asked my mom about it and she said it was actually given to her by a friend of hers from college. Ok! So this is almost sort of a collaborative project I don't think he built it to play emulators, since he states he's strict on himself about not playing them. I think it has more to do with having multiple screens so he can keep track of the recording while looking at the video data and playing the game at the same time? I don't know XD I just remember he rigged it to turn on by reading his fingerprint or something insane like that. It's those sorts of people that confound me. In a good way ;D

Really? I don't have too many brown-colored numbers/letters. Not too many pink ones either. Maroon maybe XDD Now you're making me concerned that I have ADD/ADHD XD Though I'm actually really good at concentrating, so maybe not. Well that's good ^^ It's nice to know those types of people.

Yeah, me neither. XD It only becomes a problem for me when my dad changes the settings around… Yup, it’s also the most important part! Oh okay. Oooh! Fish-eye pictures are cool. ;D It can also make good perspective references if you take pictures of other people (or animals I suppose?) posing with that lense. That’s what I wanted to do with my small wooden mannequins but I recently discovered they are not as flexible as human beings and subsequently popped one of their arms off. I also don’t have a fish eye lens It doesn’t? D: And sorry about that. :C Hopefully the earlier versions are cheaper, but I don’t know how easy it is to even buy those. Some of the newer “elements” versions might be available for free though? I’ll ask my dad, he might know, since he was trying to figure out how to work with my mom’s computer.

I have been trying to brainstorm and work through conceptual issues a little bit each night before bed, and I do think I’ve made progress, but I don’t think the dreams are much of a sign of story progress because the story is way too vuage at this point. But I have no idea really. XD

I think all commissions have a little bit of collaboration- the commissioner tells the artist what they want, and the artist does their best to draw what the commissioner wants them to. But Bou is leaving it very open-ended for me so I get most of the say in the designs. ^^ Oh really? Because emulators are bad for gaming companies? I forget that, because I just use them to play outdated games that they don’t make/sell anymore. That sounds handy. XDD

Oh really? D, H, F, and T are brown to me- and 4 is either dark brown or black, and 9 is kinda tan. I feel like there are a lot of brown letters because those four are so common. Capitals are also slightly different from lowercases, but in general they are the same colors. I made a list, so maybe I’ll casually put it into my next sketch dump. XD Naw, I think that if you had ADD or ADHD strongly you’d probably have already noticed it manifesting in other ways. Although it’s kinda tricky because there are so many ways it can manifest- I have yet another friend who has it who never had bad grades, which is usually the first sign of adhd. My doctor said that there are some things that seem to exist in everyone on a spectrum, and that ADD is one of those things- most people have it, but it’s worse in some people than in others. So maybe you do, but it doesn’t matter unless you have problems focusing or if you’re really shy and you need meds. ;D And synesthesia can occur from other things too

Oh so your dad steals your camera sometimes too? ;D Really? I guess I can see that. I'm still reading the manual and all so I haven't even taken a picture yet :/ (we're trying to figure out how to XD) Oh no D: Well at least the mannequins are at least slightly anatomically correct. I'm not much for models, but I've always wished I could make one of my Stilts for reference and to keep their proportions more consistent as I draw them XD (they're not that inconsistent, but having a reference would be very helpful). Yeah :c at least on Amazon I know that used CS3 cost about as much as a new CS6 :/ So I'm not sure what to do there. I've balked at the costs, but my mom tries to remind me that if I do commissions I could hopefully make it pay for itself someday. And you know those hope posters I make? I'm planning to do commissions for those at my college so maybe I can get some dough that way ^^ Ok!

That's true. But however open-ended it is determines the amount of collaboration. Ok! He did break his vow though to LP one of his favorite series that hadn't ever come out in America before that had a fan translation and all. Interesting. Mine are all bright colors, with the exception of some darker greens and blues. Oh really? I hadn't thought of that. I think it's the same for me with the lower cases. Ohohoho~ Good, so I can finally have a reference XD I find making lists like that hard, cause if I think about it too hard I can't recall what colors they are. Yeah, true. For a while I've been concerned that I have a mild case of autism or aspergurs or something, since there are some things about me that are similar to the symptoms. But there are two things I have that don't fit in with most autistic people, which are that I am pretty good at speaking and using words (thus our walls of text) and have been speaking from an extremely young age when most autistic people speak very late and have difficulty speaking, and that my interests are very widespread while autistic people usually excel in only one things and follow it. Well, we can all be diagnosed with something and we're all on some sort of spectrum. And it's true, it doesn't really matter unless it impairs your being able to live normally. Does it? Like what?

Yeah… XDD LOL. Have you tried to take a picture yet, or are you going to wait till you finish the manual? XDD Yes, at least they’re slightly anatomically correct. Yeah, I used to not like the idea of drawing from models and stuff, but it helps to eliminate human error. ^^ Eh, that doesn’t make much sense, because I’m not sure if you can actually sell a “used” CS3 (at least not easily, you can’t just hand off the CD). If those are your only options go with CS6. Ohh, that might be a good idea. How are you going to make those posters without photoshop though?

You don’t exactly see people walking around wearing fake military/police hats. XDD Except I did see one restaurant in Germany where the waitresses did! I guess so, but the only advantage to a wrist watch is that it doesn’t take up a pocket and all you have to do to check it is look at your wrist. ;D Why not go the extra mile for class? Oh really? I like steampunk, but I suppose that’s because it’s (usually) not very girly and it has a slightly dark but ornate/grungy style with victorian clothes (poofy sleeves, long boots, bandaids, gloves, scarves, goggles, etc). Apparently I define steampunk by the kinds of clothes people wear I don’t know if I’ve watched anything REALLY steampunk, but a lot of things are branded it- I’ve seen FMA be called Steampunk, for example. They do. XDD I’m starting to really like demons from history for example, even though the real demons are… ugly, to say the least. And I’m beginning to really like motorcyclists they’re all Stranger. Knives and necklaces are more generic though, so I wouldn’t think you’d get associations from it? Really? I suppose I just like the convenience of digital clocks. lD Not really, lockets are so small that they don’t add much to a design just a tiny nuisance to draw that’s easily forgotten but since they’re sentimental items maybe a character would have one for that reason.

I can’t sleep in cars either, I always get worried we’ll crash (even though I’m not the one driving XDD ). Yup. ^^

Yeah, that’s sort of what I meant. XD Oh, I didn’t know they’re illegal- in that case it makes sense. His channel would probably be shut down if he did something illegal! I see. XD Yeah, there’s that and the older games. My friend is trying to get a game called SSX Tricky which was a snowboarding game that was actually really fun! They don’t make it anymore. :C At least I think not.. LOL. I sort of caught that when I posted it but I didn’t say anything because I thought it was too much of a stretch. XDDD

Oh really? XD I have a lot of black/grey/whites (white ones are kinda confusing because I also see them as black, I think because most text is on white paper). XDD Yes, so now you can know the kind of rainbow I read in. I also included some words (namely my characters names and your name and mine and some junk words) and I found it was really strange to see them in color- it didn’t look normal until I added a dull shade of black over them (probably because most text is black). Yeah, I was actually surprised at how easily I could recall the colors! Yeah, if autism is having difficulty communicating, I doubt you have it. XDD Yup. ^^ Well, I had read it can possibly be genetic, artists and left-handed people are more likely to have it, and women are more likely to have it. And also mental instability and some other rarer things. It makes sense to me how people who might have trouble remembering things would have it since it helps you remember things. ^^

I want to take a picture soon, but I want to read that part of the manual first. It's not that we haven't tried, it's just that it doesn't seem as simple as pushing the button cause we've tried that XD I just got to the part in the manual about taking the pictures so hopefully I'll be doing that soon Yeah, I gotcha. Hmm, maybe they weren't used. And yeah that's what I was planning to do, getting CS6, unless you or anyone else has any other suggestions. Oh no, I was meaning to do all that once I get my photoshop back ^^ 

Eh, that's true. But if I did I'd think that would be pretty sweet ;D Oh that's neat~ And yeah I can relate. I'd assume the genre isn't terribly romance-y either. LolThe only things that come to mind for me would be the new Sherlock Holmes movies, otherwise I haven't seen anything :/ FMA really?? I suppose I could see that. Oh do demons look that bad? XD I've always thought the art people made of monsters back then were very interesting-looking and creative ^^ I can't say I've seen any visuals of your demons though, from back then. Hah! My uncle was a motorcyclist ^^ And yes they are pretty cool-looking ;D Maybe ^^ I am having trouble coming up with a design for both of those though, so I might have to look for some references. I have a general idea of what they should look like. Hmm. I feel like time passes differently with digital clocks than with analog ones. And I just really like the sound of ticking clocks XD I gotcha. Maybe you can make one that's a bit bigger? I'm not sure how realistic that would be in the realm of lockets...

XDD I just can't sleep in cars cause they're uncomfortable. And I can only really sleep if I'm laying down. I dunno, I like being in a car and seeing everything moving past you. It stimulates my mind, and a lot of my story ideas I think up during car rides :'D

Well, at least I heard somewhere that they're illegal. But the videos he put up of him playing one weren't flagged or anything, so I guess not (or at least, not to the level I thought they were). I know a lot of people play them though, and I don't think they're that bad of an offense. You're probably ok XD Oh really? What platform do you play it on? When I was younger my grandparents actually bought my dad an Xbox XDD But he pretty much gave it to us to play and we had a game called Splashdown where you raced on water courses with jet skis and it was really fun! We also had a game called Blinx the Time Sweeper that was about a cat with a vacuum cleaner but that's for a different message thread XD I hope you find that game someday! D: I have a few gameboy games I've been looking for for a while...

Interesting.... Yeah I don't think I have any letters that are black/white/gray. So you don't see these colors while actually reading something, or do you? I don't, unless I see the letters isolated from each other. Same with numbers, but I do see numbers' personalities while doing math and don't need them to be separate. Yeah, that's true. That's cool though! Can't wait to see it. Oh ok. I think my mom has a lot of this stuff, so it could be genetic (my mom's parent's also considered testing her for aspergurs but didn't...). Yeah, that makes sense! It's cool our brains do that sort of thing to compensate ^^ I can't say I have trouble memorizing things though, but I should try to see if making associations with my real life examples of numbers and letters help me remember things like names better. 

Also in my messages recently I've been leaving just one space between my sentences vertically instead of double-spacing every paragraph. This is just because at least on my screen, your replies have this extra space in them that make the message a lot longer, and I think it's something to do with dA's messaging system. So I'm just trying to make fewer spaces so we don't have to scroll up as far when we'r replying but if you have any issues with my replies just say so.
