You're welcome! What I particularly liked about this piece was the stark contrast between the almost monochrome areas and the very vibrant colour of the eyes!

Oh yeah I did! I love fantasy stuff (Tolkien <3). Dragon Age just has such a vibrant and colorful lore to it. I want to explore more fantasy landscapes, but I'm a very left brained person (math comes easier than art). I was pleased with the progress I made with Skyhold though but that's only because I used math for the composition haha.

Oookay... i didn't even know maths cam be used for composition. I knew there was some trick with thirds, but otherwise... it sounds very interesting though!
In any case i'm happy to know another DA-fan around here.
Another thing i am curious about (i hope i don't waste your time), do you have some kind of pen for your tablet? I tried drawing with my fingers once and it ended up rather terrifying.

Yea I use a galaxy tab2 with the S-pen (I think) for the Autodesk work. For the photoshop painting (Skyhold) I use a Wacom tablet with a stylus which was much cheaper than the tablet.

I took the rule of thirds a little further by using the fibonacci sequence or the life spiral to help with the compistion.
