It is well earned. It's rare when I read poetry that elicits such a powerful response from me. Among my favorite hobbies is tabletop (and occasional live action) role-playingΒ and I admit that I am a method actress when I am running my characters. (people joke that I don't return to normal until after the dvdΒ commentary, lol)
I tend to really base a lot of my characters and performances (and some occasional cosplay) off Eva's performances and characters. (My Penny Dreadful Seance performance freaked people out!)
One that I have been running and pretty well being inside the head of is my take on Artemisia and your poem honestly made me blush profusely. I had to fan myself!Β

Oh, you are an author? What do you write about?

For a while, I wrote mostly science fiction to practice my craft and have in the last year switched gears to the fantasy genre. I find one of my biggest challenges to be creating a world from scratch and so I've limited myself to writing within the framework of a fantasy RPG setting such as Golarion from Pathfinder. I've got a module that I have written and put into the playtest phase with a group of friends trying it out and the feedback has been positive so if all works out I might get published that way.
It's got a spooky Sleepy Hollow vibe as I wrote it for Halloween.
