I'm not really back. My tablet only seems to function at work. It shorts out on my home PC. My brother let me borrow his iPad and I'm trying to use that but it's not working out so great.

Yikes, that's terrible. Sorry you're going through that, are you saving up money to get a better tablet or perhaps a better PC? If your tablet functions at work but shorts out at home, the issue might just be your PC but whatever is the more cheaper option suits ya. I would just stick to the new tablet...that is if the tablet is more expensive than a new PC? (Has no idea how much a good working tablet costs due to never using a tablet in his life)

I keep trying, but I owe so much to people it's damn near impossible to save anything. The tablet does have issues (faulty cable) so it needs replacing eventually, but at work, the main issue that kept me from continuing is not one of them. So, yeah, it HAS to be the PC. As to what exactly causes it appears unclear, but that faulty cable must be shorting out SOMETHING.

Maybe, I'm not much of a techie guy so don't really take my word for it, but do you happen to know someone who knows about computers? Maybe they can find the problem going on with your PC?

Sadly, I'm the only one in my circle that knows anything about computers. The good news is that the fix is fairly simple: replace the components of the PC or replace the tablet. The bad news is both are expensive options.

I'm a bit rusty. I've never done commissions so I wouldn't know where to start. Plus, with my schedule, I don't know when I'd get around to it.

It could be an option if you really need the money, plus you could use it as means of practice doing commissions? But if that's the case the commissions would have to be cheap since you'll just be practicing and the commissioner won't feel all that ripped off if the commission turns out bad. You could just commission sketches though, cheapest of the commission list, little work for you to do, and like I said it could be used for practice. If none of that won't work, then this is quite the pickle XD

Just start simple, something you can easily do and not take so much time of your day and offer it as a commission for a cheap price but don't undersell yourself, you're a great artist that should get more for their buck.
