Ma'am, I'm sorry... but... that fringe does not fit Posey. Β No offense to him in anyway, I mean I don't even know the guy, I'm sure he's just SWELL! Β But... I dunno... if he fits the role of Poet? Β I know I shouldn't judge before we see the new short film, but...
and I've been spying on the search posts on tumblr lately, POET seems to be grabbing people. Β Which is a good thing! Β But, with Posey's version of Poet...

I'm concerned... Not much because of Posey, but mostly because of his fans. I already went through something similar with The Maze Runner fandom. I am not worried about the fandom growing, and I am very aware that Posey will make the fandom grow, but I am worried of these new Posey followers not really grasping the true concept behind Poet, just like Dylan O'Brien followers did with The Maze Runner... Some of them were just there in the fandom causing drama, and none of them had even bothered to read the books... Some of them even dared to say that they tried reading the books but they were too boring for them.Β
I don't watch Teen Wolf, and tbh the only film I've seen Posey in is Maid In Manhattan, and that was when he was a little kid... Not enough for me to judge his acting. For some reason I'm not worried about him not delivering the character as much as I'm worried about his army of fans invading our humble fandom.Β
I am not there to compete about who's been a longer fan than who. I welcome new fans with open arms, but I hate when people try to take over, or re-stablish something that already was a thing, like waaaaaay longer than they could even imagine. For Tom and the franchise, Posey is a good move. He's pretty popular within the young adult crowd, a good young face to be our Poet. His characterization seems very similar to the Poet described in the books, so I am curious to see more of the books being adapted in films. In fact his hair looks very similar to my Poet wig, but then again... I do a fem! version of Poet... I was surprised that they went with that hairstyle.
Although... Tom did see and retweeted one of my cosplay pics... LOL! Not saying he stole it from me, that'd be ridiculous, but it's sort of funny how similar my wig and his Poet hairstyle looks!
