Oh of course! Your art is so unique and beautiful. I can see all of the effort put into one piece, and yet you make it seem so easy. Mayhaps you could write a piece of poetry or a short story for some of your works, as they all have some wonderful tale to tell, it seems.

Thank you ...
I've always thought of writing dsome story to go with my pictures(I have loads of ideas) but how to start..?!

(I know your question is kind of rhetorical, but ...)

The first thing to do is to create your characters . Whether you've painted the main char (i.e. fairy) or not, you want to develop all the little details and traits about the characters that we can't visually see. For example, "What bad habit does that char have?"; "What does he/she do for spiritual solace?"; "How old is he/she?"

From there, you pick a point of view -- whether to write in first person/second/or third.

I think your characters deserve more of a descriptive narrative, rather than some fullout story that teaches morals or whatever.

I don't know if I make sense. =C I don't mean to sound like an English teacher and hope I don't sound forceful with my suggestions.

Just throwing ideas out there that could possibly generate new hobbies . Then you could slowly start to cover different bases of the fine arts.

(I'm going to stop babbling now. >_<

Whoops, didn't see the DevComment before I replied to the other. Of course I remember you! I hardly see you on AIM anymore (have you changed SNs?). Anyway, seriously, it's been some time now =], like 2 years or so? What have you been up to? Where are you at? Any new developments with the so-called opposite gender?

Which sn do you have? I switched over to hollyangelstar86 and I've been with that for a while now. I don't know why, but I did. Has it really been two years? I haven't been up to too much. I've kept up with drawing. I have another x now. Nicer than the Germ, much nicer in fact, but a very very depressed one. It was nice while it lasted. It lasted for a little over a year as a matter of fact. I'm still friends with my recent x. Other than that... I stay away from boys. lol. They're such a pain to deal with. Don't get me wrong, I'd like one, but at this point, I'm in NO rush to get one. As for where I'm at, I'm at college in Millersville, Pa. It's about an hour and a half away from Limerick, where I live. We have a kitty named, Maggie. She's a sweetie. I also have fishies! XD 5 neon tetras and 4 glowlight tetras! = 3 They are so adorable and fun to watch. I think I spoil them. I take real good care of them. They are the only pets that I am allowed to have in college, so I had to get them because I need something to take care of and pay attention to. lol.

Enough about me though. How have you been? Where are you at now? Any guys? = 3 Are you still far away from home and if so, do you miss your family? I miss my family terribly and I still live somewhat close to them! X_X Me and my stupid family orientedness. lol. Out of pure curiosity, do you ever hear from the Germ? I got curious today and was wondering what ever happened to the little bugger. Meh. I really don't care if I find out, I was just feeling curious. I get that way from time to time.

Oh my goodness. Thank you SO much for the comment! I know my works are usually varied and bounce back and forth in style as I'm always experimenting, but I do try my best.

Thank you again, JuugatsuTori!

no problem :: if an artist can work in varied styles its all the more talent on their part right?

OY! I had no idea you had an account. I was actually browsing this site for the longest time, and I was finally like, "Geez, I do art. It might not be great, but I might as well for the feedback. Let's post!" ^_^ I'll be looking out for your works!...BTW, what's 'tablet'?

PhantomDreamer In reply to Skaiya [2005-07-27 22:44:12 +0000 UTC]

A tablet is a graphics art tool that enables you to "draw/paint" on your computer with more control. [link] <=== That is the site that you probably wanna check out. A tablet comes in several sizes ... it's like ... a rectangular piece of plastic that's sensitive to the point of a 'stylus.' The stylus is pen that you draw with on your tablet. It's usually got a pressure-sensitive tip so when you're painting or sketching, your strokes and lines visibly vary in opacity. My friend sold an old 4 x 5 tab to me for 75 bucks. They're relatively expensive. My other friend, recently bought an 8 x 11 for around $450. (Yeah, 4"x5" is how small the drawing screen is, but you get used to the proportioning."
