# About me

I was born in a small town in southern Missouri and went on to attend St. Louis University where I studied psychology and theatre arts. I moved to Oregon in 2000, where I have been ever since. I am a self-taught artist inspired by my mother-an aspiring artist in her own right-who encouraged a loving appreciation of expression and creativity at an early age.

Frequent trips to the St. Louis Art Museum throughout my life exposed me to a rich catalogue of the worlds finest artists who further inspired me to produce my own work, much of which has come to be fluidly influenced by an organic admixture of my interests in mythology, occult symbolism, and pop-culture. Artistic sensitivity, influence, and a consciousness of imagery have always been a part of my life. Until recently it had been a very personal and private endeavor sought out purely for my own enjoyment. Out of the blue I was tapped to create production design work for an upcoming television project, and it opened me up to several other projects that sent me down a road toward becoming a professional designer and illustrator.
