# About me

I wrote a book! If you like historical fiction and feel like supporting me, you can get it here: www.amazon.com/Little-Glass-Me…

I really appreciate it!

Now that I've said that, hi! I am a writerperson! I suppose I could include "aspiring" there, but as you can see above I've actually written and self-published a book, so I guess I'm not quite aspiring.

The book's title is Little Glass Men, and it's a historical-fiction novel that takes place in 1921, in a military hospital for wounded veterans. I also write a rather wide variety of short stories, and though I don't typically stick to one particular genre you can generally assume that whatever I put up is dark to some degree.

In my spare time I have been known to watch bad movies, battle the forces of evil, and hide under rocks.

Story's great, music's great, characters are great, visuals are great (once you get used to them). Only thing I have issue with is some gameplay stuff. Damn those cliffs! Damn them!

The moment you defeat Satan or Peter and you accidently jump of a cliff....yeah that is the only thing I hate about the game hahah. But great to find another LISA fan! Who is your favorite character? And favourite party member?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Razgriz-3 In reply to Nexubis [2016-11-22 12:39:50 +0000 UTC]

I think my favorite character has to be Rando. It's hard not to love Rando. The Joyful was a bit of an exercise in being sad for 2000 years, but he was a light in it despite everything. Favorite party member is a bit tougher... I liked Shocklord, Bo, and Harvey as dudes, though I only used Shocklord in actual fighting.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nexubis In reply to Razgriz-3 [2016-11-22 16:36:43 +0000 UTC]

Rando is just that one character nobody hates. He just did nothing wrong, buddy was the one being mean and all. And yeah, joyful was like 'Oh you feel sad about the first ending? Here is a even worse one." My favorite characters are Queen Roger and Buzzo, but I mostly play with the team combo of Birdie, Mad Dog and Nern. And yeah shocklord is great too!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Razgriz-3 In reply to Nexubis [2016-11-23 07:15:12 +0000 UTC]

I'd have to think some to come up with a good alternative, but he comes to the forefront. I wish the Joyful had had a bit more of that dark humor as opposed to just being dark all the time, but it was definitely still good.
There were a scary number of side characters in that game. I guess it made sense, considering the wide variety of fates they could undergo.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nexubis In reply to Razgriz-3 [2016-11-23 08:10:40 +0000 UTC]

I also missed a bit of the dark humor I fell for in the first ones, but I love how you could choose your own ending (although both were really sad ones)
And don't even get me started about the side characters. I love how you could really look for more side characters like you could do that as side quest. Like I searched an eternity for the fish village thing. And I think the islands and things like the bees and such are really great side quests as well, there is always another thing to discover

Razgriz-3 In reply to Nexubis [2016-11-25 20:56:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, in their own ways. It was weird, but it was also a bit fitting.
The game's filled to the brim with extra stuff, I agree. There are references to other games but they aren't in-your-face, and most of what I got about each character and the way they acted worked in their favor. Should we compare it to Undertale? I don't know if you want to open that can of worms but I've been grumpy about Undertale for no reason for like the past six months.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Nexubis In reply to Razgriz-3 [2016-11-26 08:24:47 +0000 UTC]

Like I really liked the game before I met the fandom tbh, the game itself is pretty neat. But the fandom of Undertale is just...yeah....
But in fact, we could compare it. It is like the more adult and more perverted version of Undertale or something?

Thanks for visiting my page. I hope you enjoyed some of the stories....
While I am here... how is your historical fiction book doing?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Razgriz-3 In reply to Silver2075 [2016-08-16 08:15:25 +0000 UTC]

I'm afraid I didn't peruse it to a full degree - my forte is more short stories than longer works, as I'd need to read the entire thing to adequately comment on it. As it stands, I'm a bit more swamped than I'd like to think, but I apologize nonetheless.

My book's... well, sales have stagnated, but that's ok. Self-marketing isn't my strongest suit, and I've improved as a writer since I finished it, so that's a plus. I'm moderately pleased with how it turned out, even if it's not God's gift to mankind. Thank you for asking about it, though!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Silver2075 In reply to Razgriz-3 [2016-08-16 12:57:51 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, those stories are anything but short and there is never enough time in the day.

The self-marketing isn't any fun either. It rates right below editing if you ask me. I have come to about the same acceptance of book sales. I usually take heart in the creative tax shelter it gives me. Sticking it to Uncle Sam is kind of a bonus when I do not sell books. lol

Well, good luck with your next book then. If you ever get around to reading any of my material I would love to hear what you think.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Razgriz-3 In reply to Silver2075 [2016-08-17 08:43:37 +0000 UTC]

I would much rather edit than self-market. It's interesting to hear that you can write off book-writing for taxes. Didn't know that.

You'd probably be better off linking me to something specific, actually, if you wanted feedback. I might be a bit slow to get to it, though.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Silver2075 In reply to Razgriz-3 [2016-08-18 03:57:10 +0000 UTC]

You can write off the publishing and any associated costs such as professional editing. However, the best part is writing of any advertising costs. For example, I put magnets on all of my cars. That includes my wife's car and both boy's cars. Then I can write off all gas and maintenance cost for those vehicles because of advertising costs. I think I am going to start tracking mileage because I can get an allotment for each mile and gas prices have been down, which has reduced my deductions. If you buy a car and put advertising on it you can depreciate the value of the car over five years as well. However, I suggest doing it over four. I have started having book promotional pool parties every chance I can so I can depreciate the cost of my pool. Yeah I am probably going to jail some day. lol Anyway, you can continue to do this as long as you show profit once every five years. Therefore, I cease all my advertising every few years to claim only my royalties, which in turn makes me profitable for that year. Then I get to buy or spend money on new stuff for a couple of years. For example, I just spent a good chunk of money for an audio system for my pool... I mean for my book promotional parties. lol

You get the picture. Talk to a tax consultant and they can steer you in a good direction. It doesn't make you a millionaireΒ  but a couple extra thousand back on taxes four out of five years does make a good incentive to publish a book once in a while.

Good lord, that's way more involved than I'd expected. Maybe I'll keep it scaled back for now - I'm still a student, so taxes aren't chewing my legs off quite yet.Β
