Holy crap, you're pretty much the first landscaper from Malta I've seen before. I was there 2 years ago with plans to shoot shots like yours (seascapes with rough rocks, long exposure, etc), but I obviously didn't choose the right part of the island...

Sorry for taking long to respond, but that's the price you pay for getting a DD
Anyway, I'm finding my D5000 very good. The image quality is superb and I find to trouble shooting up to ISO 3200, especially if I know I will convert to black and white. What I sometimes miss is the inbuilt AF motor, but that might not be an issue if you are into photography purely on hobbyist level. Regarding ergonomics, it fits my hand like a glove (I'm not the biggest of guys out there though.) and balances well with most lenses. The tilting LCD screen came in handy a couple of times too, as was live view when working on a tripod.
If you have any more questions, just ask!

lol I bet! how many favs/watches did you get from it?
sweet. yeah Ive been looking into getting a DSLR for a while. my brothers both have one each but I dont get to use them that much. plus they dont like me taking them everywhere... so I need to buy my own.
that was one downside that I heard about the D5000 is not having the AF motor built in. but I think since I will be buying all new lenses that I will be safe.
how is the LCD? is it good quality? is it hard to read and look at your pictures? thats one problem that I have one I look on my LCD everything looks like I have good lighting and the ISOs set right but when I get it on the computer it changes completely.
thanks for the info
