Hey, thanks for the watch and the comments on my blog. Sorry for the delay in answering; it's been a busy couple of days.
Took a look at your gallery. I especially like your pop images and the "text-based" images (not sure just what to call them).

Thank you for the counter watch and the kind words. No need to apoligize, I know how life can get! To tell you the truth, I don't know what to call them either.

Thanks for your contributions to Art Deco Architecture. I've been cross-posting and featuring them over on the Deco blog I run on Tumblr: [link] . With a link to your DA profile, all your notes, links to the photo sets, etc. I really enjoy them!

Thanks for the heads-up. I've added it to my watch list. By the way, those Aerodrome photos make me drool. Fantastic to know such a building is still around!

Thanks very much for your interest. I love this style of building, and the Los Angeles area is crawling with 'em. It's fun to wander around town and stumble onto new subjects.

You're welcome, I noticed your stock which has given me an idea for a project!
I really love Art Deco structures, there are lots of them here in the UK too. One day though I hope to go to Manhattan or Miami and drool lol

LA is a funny city...it's noted for tearing down "old" buildings before they have a chance really to get old. The fortunate thing is that when neighborhoods go into decline nobody wants to pay to fancy them up. A lot of nice buildings survived long enough to go onto the Historical Register simply because they were in the "wrong" neighborhood.
Say, is the Hoover Factory still standing? I've wanted to see that in person ever since Elvis Costello sang about it.

If I ever win the lottery I'm going to buy me one of those! even if it is in the wrong neighbourhood!
Yes the Hoover building is still standing and it is as beautiful as ever and has been restored, they are letting it out now, found this link for you. It's a shame they had to build a superstore right near it though.
