Listen, can you make an AU world of an Axis world victory in wich the the USSR but with it's borders restricted from the Ural Mountains to Siberia, the Middle East and Asia serving as an neutral buffer zone and the equivalent of NATO as the whole American Continent? Well, I’m doing two predictions. One based on my original c. January 1, 2020 predictions which doesn’t have this, and one that does.

The quick rundown? I don’t think this is the end of days, but I also think this may be the event that sets off a cascade of events which ultimately put an end to the post-WWII order. These systems are showing their imperfections and weaknesses in a changing world with mounting issues from economic inequality to geopolitical instability. There is growing desire to change the systems coming from multiple corners, and our leaders are proving themselves more interested in preserving these systems (and their power and profit thereby) than they are in changing these systems to deal with crisis. Whether or not that is “actually” the case, the perception is there, and this recent pandemic only contributes to the growing sense of discontent and desire to change. And when enough people lose faith in the system, the system fails.
