Hi, I'm Sabrina's older sister. Sabrina has autism and I tried explaining the concept of copyright but she just doesn't get it. And she would never eliminate something off her page.

The only thing I can do is write a general apology to all artists, because she puts so many of these "collages" as she calls them ( for her that is taking pictures off the web and putting them together) that I can't trace them all back to the original artists...

That's understandable, though it's unlikely an artist would take drastic legal action, DeviantArt may forcibly take down the works. I understand the concept of copyright can be hard for anyone to truly understand.

Perhaps encouraging her to continue creating her own artworks for her deviantArt would be a good way to help her? She seems to have a huge variety of interests and I rather like the ones she draws herself, I hope she keeps drawing!

Sabrina is rather lucky to have a lovely sister helping her out, I also have a younger brother with autism and know how hard it can be when others aren't as understanding or patient.

This is a comment that Sabrina's sister wrote to explain her behavior:

"I'm Sabrina's  older sister. I'm sorry to see that the comments she made bothered you. Sabrina suffers from autism so she doesn't really understand that she cannot comment whatever she wants under your works. I'm truly sorry, but hers was only a way of appreciating your work by saying what movies she would like to see you represent and what movies she liked in general. We are trying to teach her to stop and make more critical interesting comments, in the meanwhile accept our apologies, she was just trying to interact with artists who she looks up to."

Ciao! Questo messaggio è per la sorella di Sabrina. Io non ho visto i commenti di cui parli e sono capitata sul profilo di Sabrina solo perché ho visto un suo lavoro. Trovo i suoi disegni molto dolci e teneri, e mi dispiace che qualcuno si sia sentito comprensibilmente infastidito da commenti che non parevano appropriati. Mi prendo perciò la libertà di copiare e incollare la tua risposta sotto il commento di un altro artista che, qui sul profilo di Sabrina, sembra scocciato da qualche cosa che lei deve aver scritto, giusto perché capisca. Auguro a tutta la famiglia buona domenica, e per Sabrina ... ecco un nuovo bellissimo llama ^^
