Hi! i'm Jazzy (not my real name!) i'm 16. i have six siblings. my parents have been married forever. i hope to get my license this november. don't ask me for a ride...i can't afford a car :/ we travel the country, so we don't actually live in the qualla anymore :( i'm going to move back after i go to, then finish college. i hope to get a degree in english or something like that. i'm not sure yet :/ maybe i'll major in theater with a minor in psychology...

i'm really big into environmental activism. i spend most of my free time campaigning: i write pamphlets for fundraisers; and the occasional article - in which, i'm known to capitalize some words. we have arts/crafts/bake sales! i sometimes make posters, but only if we can reuse it at a later date for another occasion :-) and i have written several one act plays about conservation and many other save-the-environment topics as well as hundreds of short skits about the same stuff! Reduce! Reuse! Recycle!

my parents do much more than i do, including lectures. i don't really know what all they do though. but their jobs are something to do with the affairs of native americans. i don't understand all of it enough to summarize it.

my s/o is also cherokee and also androgynous. our families have known each other for countless generations. our immediate families travel together. my s/o and i have known each other our entire lives. we've been together since we were single digits - very much in love.

all that being said, idc if you call me an indian, means nothing to me. my race, gender identity, sexuality, political views do not define me. i'm just a kid.

my original da username, evilshamus, had multiple meanings: the evil part comes from my now deleted reddit username: The_Evil_Inside_You and the shamus part is because shamus is another word for detective. i came here looking for someone and some evidence, found what i was looking for, and decided to stay.

yay, first person! i know you always give points to people, so that's one reason why i wanted to give you a couple. sadly, i didn't have many to give.

i have good days and bad days, bud. and i thank you very much for asking.

lately though, my good days come a little more often than when i first came home. i'm actually doing really well, all things considered. and i'm very grateful for that . . . i'm probably about to get the picc line out of my arm in about a month or so. that's going to be great.

it'll be out just in time for our family trip to malibu. we're going to go to a few resorts in cali, some beaches, etc.. we're also going to hollywood and a few other places. my torso is a jacked-up wall of scars now. i hope i'm not going to be too embarrassed to take my clothes off these days. i might just wear a sash or something around the worst parts of it :/ but i've seen lots of people with scars as bad as mine (and worse) and i never thought anything about it. i didn't judge them. i didn't pity them (excessively and/or outwardly anyway). i didn't think much about their scars at all. but that was when i had a flawless body. . . now i have my own scars. and i don't know how i'm going to feel about being nude in front of strangers again, and for the first time since a few days before we were attacked (almost a year ago now).

anyway, i apologize for too much info, my friend. it just really helps me to talk about my fears.

i've finally been able to go places again (mostly from one house to another house, but it's still a major improvement you know. . .) and i've been able to do more things lately. my sex life/drive has also come back. luckily, we're like rabbits again ;-) (Wink) i only mention it because of all the pain medicine i'm still on because of having multiple major surgeries last year. opiates steal your sex drive :-( (Sad)

oh yeah! retired! congratulations, my friend! what're you gonna do with that check? something wild and crazy like food, and perhaps pay a bill or two? since that's about all you can do in this country anymore: pay bills and maybe save some money OR maybe pay bills and have a little fun with the remainder, but you can't usually do all three, unless you make really good money. unfortunately, there are several people in my family (mostly a few aunts and uncles and a lot of my cousins) who are just regular working class people who live paycheck to paycheck.

but seriously though, what're you going to do with your free time? my s/o and i like to watch birds :/ i know it's really nerdy, but i'm a child of nature and so are everyone else in my family. anyway, we have binoculars and those field guides that we use for checklists of all the birds we've seen. and since we travel a lot, we've seen a ton of different types of birds.

that's just one suggestion though. i have a million others if you ever get bored and want something new to do. did you know that bell ringing is a real hobby? people actually have gatherings and events for it . . . smh.

takes all kinds, eh . . . ? but i'm a fine one to talk though, huh? i don't exactly live a 'traditional' lifestyle.
