Hey Sheharzad, please try to keep an open mind while reading this. For me, Dark humor doesn't do it for me, infact, when people try mixing edgy with whimsy it just makes me cringe, and unfortunately for me that practice is pretty popular, I swear when the whole zombie craze started every two bit comedy writer on the internet started making their own "funny" webcomics or other works where fully sentient zombies willingly fed on their living human counterparts simply because zombies eating humans was considered a thing. It wasn't even clever or anything it was an incredibly easy idea to come up with and it got old REAL fast. And then there's that webcomic "Kevin and Kell" which from what little I've seen every strip they make sure to directly remind the audience that they live in a whimsical world where funny animal people eat eachother while constantly throwing around the words prey and predator. I could probably expand this into rants about anime having too much emphasis on drama, ponies sucting people in with how cute they look, and fairly odd parents being a show that just acts like it's funny without being funny but I think you get the idea.
Anyway my point is your work actually /doesn't/ make me cringe, infact I think I almost like it,Hell I think I'd probably love it if I was into dark humor but maybe I'm too cynicisticΒ and this is really strange to me because it goes directly against what I'm used to. The only explanation I can think of is that other people just throw whimsy and edgy together in hopes that it will stick while you actually make an effort to be creative. But even if I enderstand why I don't think I'll be satisfied unless you or one of your fans explains it to me.Β Β

Thank you. I donβt think I could ever explain to anyone why they like my work. Everyone has different reasons. My personal reason for making dark humor is to make me overcome my own fears by making fun of them. Making my fears into silly or cute drawings makes them less scary for me. Sometimes the scariest thing is the unknown. So I like to put a face to those things and make them known.

Wow, thanks for replying to me, I was worried that you weren't gonna. Anyway I got some questions about your undead ghost girls (or whatever they are), they clearly have a poor understanding of normal society that makes them murderous (although their living counterparts aren't much better, if at all, which would explain alot), when they kill other girls do they come back as murderous ghost girls and does this apply to boys as well?Β

So that girl or girls, who haunt that boy or boys is just possessed by a ghost using her or their body/bodies? And that doesn't explain why their full emotioned unpossessed counterparts aren't any better, or why none of them are boys, but I guess you just like making one panel comics about little girls doing horrible things and didn't put any thought into a full fictional universe. Lastly, Are you sure you don't wanna throw in your two cents on why dark humor is often cringy, I assumed that someone like you must be a connoisseur on that sort of thing.Β

Iβm actually not a fan of dark humor. I just draw it to make dark stuff less scary to myself so I donβt really have a reason to build a fictional universe around it.
