Well, I consider professional as being as good as artists like Feng Zhu, being able to cram out good paintings consistently in a not too long amount of time.
I wish I can be that good in two years, but I don't think I will..there's still much to learn
We can work hard together actually, maybe do art collaborations and stuff like that, will be fun

We should do a collab first, I'm not sure how it works tho

animal inspired but the main focus in my drawing would be human.

I also am very familiar with the style of greyscale, then color layers on top

I noticed that's what you tend to do...

Haha, I think since we both like color, why don't we each do a rough lined sketch for the other to color, so we get two coloured pieces with different styles of drawing.
We could have a similar theme if you want, or we could each think of a theme and combine both of them.
Essentially, we'll have two drawings with similar themes.
We could potentially think of what should we put in the drawings, as in number of subjects, (we both tend to have one, so two could be interesting)

I really like the mirror-kind of image,

Where one of us draws on one side of the picture and the other, the other side

and somehow they connect to each other.... Although separate might work much better together

I just don't know how to work together without completely spoiling everything ( besides your idea ) 

Would we see each other's lines? I think that would be good

and colour on our own, or something... ( Like your idea XD )

The mirror kind of image does sound really tempting but I think we should start simple.
I think we can do the mirror for a next piece as I think it could be complicated (different styles, lineweights and might be hard spoiling the surprise (us seeing each others lines) lol)

I definitely think we should use opposite themes, should make it more interesting.

Yes, we should definitely start simple...but
Simple just in the collab idea. I plan on going full out on mine!!
I was thinking we could do the same format, yes, file size I mean...
and then we can do the opposite of each others,
but if we go full out (background, full body, designs, etc)
Our styles and pictures should go well together anyway
because wouldn't matter as much if the people(s)/thing(s) aren't the same size really!
And in that way... Awesome stuff will happen,

Kyahaha¬¬¬I think [fish and bird] would be a very good theme for starters..I actually wanna pick the bird if you don't mind
I have an extra idea about that tho...we can do the combine the pictures thing.
Since I'll be taking the bird, I can do the top half and since you'll draw the fish, the drawing can be the bottom half and we can combine.
We just need to make sure that we don't draw any lines at where the picture connects and use similar colours at where it connects so it connects nicely. Use color codes to determine what color

So do you want to fully color your own drawing or have eachother color eachother's drawing? Up to you
Few things to consider

Image Resolution - I suggest 7000x2500 so even if we connect we still get a landscape ish picture
If we're doing only lines (for eachother to color in) how tidy should it be (since I'm somewhat sketchy with my lines)
Full body drawing
Background and so on
Deadline (A week?)

I think your idea is nice, it just might be a bit difficult to plan out,

but probably much worth it. I don't mind doing the fish!

When you say you take the top half and I take the bottom half,

If the resolution is 7000x2500, do you mean 7000pxi width?

if that's the case, it would definitely be better side by side XD

although 7000pxi height would be interesting also... 

If you are somewhat sketchy with your lines, that's fine...

I'm trying to move towards line art, but honestly 

I think I'm pretty well off without line art so sketchies great

I'm sorry, a week might be a bit too short of time for me, I have a few drawings I need to complete within the next week or so XD

Also I will be working fulltime for this and next week...

I've been getting 4 hr sleep nights because I've been up all night drawing like a naughty child LOL

So if it's alright with you, would a 2 week timeframe work out?

It will probably take us at least a few days to even start/ get the drawing idea and plans started anyways

I hope it's not a bother, if it is, I can somehow manage and cram power draw,

but I wish to be able to sit down and think about this so it will come out more decent than otherwise cram drawings ^ u ^;

Oh but it would be a great idea to make deadlines for each item on a list we create,

such as...

-Idea : We come up with an idea format for the drawing itself

-Sketch : We draw our individual pieces, then collab with each other and put the sketches together ( to make sure same size, etc )

-At this point, the sizes of our people, etc, are finalized and should try to keep them to the size we sketched..., poses can change etc etc

-Check back with each other and pick colour palettes/combos.. I suppose. Just for the background, so we have an overall theme. I'm thinking we should colour the background before the people, just basic +shading perhaps... so that we have an idea and don't go crazy separate. Unless you would like that. We can always choose opposite colours of each other's. It works, I've done it before..just have to be careful about it haha

-After checking back, we colour individually

- We then morph the piece into one...by blending colours together, connecting the piece...

-Check back again

- And Whalah! We're done!!

{ This is just an idea of a process, since you suggested a together piece, I think this is the best way to go to make it work }

 Although we could also just do this whole thing in grayscale,

 and then proceed to colour it afterwards

Honestly I would love your opinion, since there are so many ways this could be handled 8D

Hey,

When I say 7000x2500 (7000 width), I mean its for us individually
I've chosen to combine them top and bottom because of the dynamic of a fish and bird (fish in water bird flying above)
So when we combine we get 7000 x 5000px (2500 + 2500px height)
Regarding the line drawing, we could probably make it semi sketchy, so its still somewhat sketchy but tidy enough to make out whats going on.

I don't mind stretching this project out time wise as we shouldn't really rush doing it, but I do like the idea of having timed deadlines for different phases of the project. 2 weeks is fine imo

So regarding the phased deadlines, here is what I had in mind
End of Week 1 - Idea (Basic idea of what you're drawing)
End of Week 2 - Sketched / lined completed / Swap the drawings to see adjust sizes and stuff
End of Week 3 - Finalised the composition / Start picking color palettes (color coding and stuff) Pick a same color in the joining part of the drawing so it would be seamless when we combine both or we could combine them later
End of Week 4 - Finish painting and stuff ( finalised our individual bits in coloring)
Week 5 -Combine the drawings / Upload the drawings ( The combined drawing I suppose) maybe the individual ones too

So a month and half should suffice right? we can check with each other each week to see the progress
What do you think? Would that be enough?

Probably good to exchange emails or something later so its a lot easier to get the drawings off each other.

Other details - do we exchange PSD files (they're bound to be huge) or just the JPEG files?

Regarding the suggestive bit, nah not divebombing each other...more like when I draw my girl, the drawing will be inspiring a bird (One character inspires the other)(Example is like a girls hair and a feather, both flow where the wind moves)

I think, even if your sketches are sketch-y, it should be fine...

As long as you are able to keep the character the same size wise,

I just know when I would paint without use of litte-none linebase I usually end up changing some proportions so,but that might just be me XD
