# About me
I'm not much of a writer. I just seem to watch Doctor Who and get an idea about it that I just need to get down on paper. I seem to write one-shots, but I have done a couple of longer works.I only recently realized why I write: I love the Doctor Who universe and its characters, its adventures and exploration of deeper themes, and I want to see more of all of it. Thus, when I do write, it's to explore the universe and visit with the characters I love so much. I try to expand what's already there, rather than alter it. I write missing scenes, stories that explore the characters' thoughts and motivations, and episode-like adventures. My stories tend to fit into canon and I'm a bit obsessive about historical (canon) details. My avatar is the Doctor with the TARDIS key, because my stories are my key to the TARDIS, to exploring the universe.
Other things I like to do: Play computer games, read, do crafts, play music, play tabletop and roleplaying games. I wish I could draw, but I've never learned. Someday, maybe.
I request and appreciate reviews. Please tell me what's not good in my stories. I really want to learn!
I also welcome any discussion about Doctor Who. I love talking about it with other fans.

Thanks for the links to your GW Doctors - yours are fantastic, too! You really got Eleven's face perfect. I hadn't thought to use the Noble Count outfit for his series 7b outfit, but that works really well. Someday I'll make a Twelve and I hope he'll look as good as yours!

Oh, I'd say it's your design style. You might start with a basic pattern, but what you do to make it look the character you want to portray is yours alone.

Chapter 2 is about as ready as it's going to be. The first few paragraphs don't flow as smoothly as the first chapter did, so I want to put one of those "Read Artist's Notes First" notifications on the search page thumbnail. As you've probably guessed, I don't know how.
I know you don't use Stash Writer, but that's the one that ended up working for me. Do you remember if it'll let me do what I want?

You probably saw the comment on the Capaldi season ender that I posted.
I now have the first chapter of my fanfic ready to post- and no clue how! I've completely forgotten how I managed it with the comment! There's a step in there I can't get through, because I'm not sure what the prompt means. Something about uploading from a primary source.
Well, I've gotten the text from my word processor onto the deviantArt submission screen okay, but the next step has me stumped. No box to fill in contributor's notes pops up, and no "submit now" or something like that, so I'm obviously missing something.
Also, I can't belive that there's no "fanfic" category for submissions; just "art" or "journal", and a fanfic is niether. Well, maybe they count creative writing as an art form? Β (I don't recall which category I put the comment in.)

Yeah. You know what they say about "if you don't have anything good to say..."? It's pretty much why I refrain from talking about series 8 in general. I did like Capaldi's Doctor, but... I'll just say I'm very unhappy about Clara returning. I'm hoping the slipping ratings of the show in the UK are telling the BBC something.
Well, when I post things, I don't use Stash writer. I've never figured out how to make that work. Instead, after clicking Submit Art in my Gallery, I use the "Enter Text" option, copy/paste in my text, and then add the HTML by hand. Or, if I don't want to deal with HTML, I paste in my text, do all the other submission things (add the title, choose the category, etc.), submit it, and then use the Stash edit to go back in and do the formatting. Let me know if this doesn't make sense, and I can take some screenshots to show you the process I use.
There's a Fan Fiction category, under Literature. The main categories I see right now are My Scrapbook, My Journal, deviantArt Related, Journal Portal, Literature, and Resources & Stock Images. I think that when you enter text in to the deviation that you submit, it detects that it's not a picture and gives you all the word-related categories. If you're getting Art and Journal as your categories, it hasn't figured out that you're submitting fiction.

As you've seen, Stash Writer hasn't worked well enough for me- it was just the easier process for me to understand, so when I get to posting chapter 4, I'm going to try it your way. If that doesn't work, (i.e being able to link the chapters, and the whole thing showing up in the general gallery and not just my profile,) I'll take that screenshot tutorial.
Just three questions right now. 1: What is HTML? 2: Can I open Β a side window on dA? 3: Failing that, can I log in twice, in separate tabs? Because I need the instructions in front of me during the process.
