# About me
Hello everyone! I am a freelance illustrator from the south side of Chicago. Like all of you, I have a resounding passion for art that began when I was very young. I discovered the work of so many great artists, from the late, great, Frank Frazetta, Joe Riggs, Jim Lee, Simon Bisley and just WAY too many to list, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. As the years wore on and adulthood brought added responsibilities I found myself working multiple jobs in sales and as a firefighter. I found measures of success but always felt part of me was unfulfilled, the pull of creativity never gave up on me. I can recall, in vivid detail, the day everything changed. It was on the 4th of july, there was a house fire and I had a portion of the roof collapse on top of me. I wasn't hurt but it was HOT to say the least. When the job was complete and I realized just how bad it could have been I made a promise to myself. Come hell or high water I will get my art degree and have an art career. So I made the craziest decision of my life. I quit my full time job and enrolled in art school (The American Academy of Art, Chicago) at the age of 28. I attained my Bachelors Degree within 3 years and haven't looked back. I have had the pleasure of working with clients throughout the U.S. and Europe and while attending multiple Cons such as Wonder Con, Wizard World Chicago and C2E2 meet some of the best people around. So thats me in a nutshell, I always dream BIG and still run into burning buildings from time to time ;)# Comments
