Hey there I hope you're doing great
I've been through the japanese temples you've drawn, each has an incredible mood I love it!
I want to start creating elaborate backgrounds in my drawing but I'm really a noob when it comes to it :/
Do you have any advices on how to start? Should I redraw random landscapes from google to understands how perspective works?
anyway keep this up, your work is an inspiration !

I'm doing better than I was but things are still pretty rough.
The temple in this piece was completely made up so if you have been there I'd like to go ;0)
MightyGraph I'm a complete noob at this too & the concept you've commented on was just after I finished an only concept design course in Environments with Simon Scales. He taught me akot but I'd say most of it is already online for free. You just need to knuckle down & draw places you like. Try different colours you wouldn't normally choose & see how they look. If they look crap move on, you won't get a perfect environment concept straight away that's why this one looks good & a few other I put up with it look crap. This was the one that turned out better than the rest.
So yes look into perspective
Paint from google if you can't go out or practice outside.
Keep getting inspired & eventually you'll find your own style that other people will like! I feel I'm still looking for my style but I guess when I inspire people like you maybe I've kind of found a style for me?!
Thanks for the kind words & shoot me a message anytime you might need some help or advice.
Have a great weekend mate!
Steve
