I usually don't have too much trouble with pokemons, but when I try to draw pikachu I NEVER like how it turns out.

You'd think a pokemon as common and easy as Pikachu wouldn't be so hard. But it is. It's nearly as tough to draw as humans. And humans can often feel IMPOSSIBLE. Especially those pesky hands.

The hands, those are like Satan's invention. I have more troubles drawing feet that look remotely decent but hands are already close to impossible to draw.

I LOVE feet. I dunno why, but I love feet. I can't draw them worth piss, but I like drawing feet studies. I think they are fun, and challenging, and i'm fascinated by feet poses. I just wish they were easier to draw.

With as much as i practice hands, and stare at hands you'd think they'd get easier to draw. But they don't. And i usually end up drawing good hands when I don't mean to. and drawing piss poor hands when I'm trying to draw good ones.

Hands vary a lot between people too, and fingers can be less or more thic, etc. It's living drawing hell, along with overclutted designs.

I used to be the exact opposite. used to only be able to draw animals, dragons and the like. Couldn't draw proper humans to save my life. Took a lot of practice to be able to get the hang of people.

Now I draw anthro dragon humans! The best of both worlds.

So what made you start drawing? I been drawing since I was a kid, and my motivation to get better was to draw as well as my older brother.

I really started drawing in late elementary/early middle school to show people what I had going through my head as writing wasn't enough for 10-year old me. My cousins verbally kicked my ass about my rushed, lazy style early on.

Well your cousins don't sound to particularly supportive.

I can't remember a time that I didn't draw, but I do know when I started getting really good. It would've been middle school when I got super serious about drawing.
