Hehe, I find it´s quite relieving that I do not feel demotivated when I see super cool art by amazing artists. Instead it feels quite exciting and it motivates me more to do artsy fartsy stuff! To hone my skills and become better.

Haha well same as you actually! I really hope to be able to work faster, each painting takes me more than 10 hours but I'd love to be able to release more sketches, and post more often :3

Ah, the difficult choice between perfectionism and volume of work.. I have gotten the recommendation that it´s usually better not to let the perfectionist take over and spend hours just polishing, especially when it comes to ideas/work that doesnt turn out that well or just doing studies/sketches. Just keep on drawing more stuff (that covers different areas) tends to rub off more than just sitting with one piece for a long time. DRAW DRAW DRAW

I know! You're absolutely right! But it's so hard   I'm such a perfectionist, and although I consider it a quality it also is my biggest flaw when it comes to work! I wish I could get a drawing out each day like some artists do... I really need to put less pressure on myself and get things done faster, even if it's messy. Anyway, I'm glad to know you feel my pain haha!

It´s a matter of balance, the perfectionist voice inside oneself brings that much needed critical self-reflection, but if you listen too much it´s more crippling than helping - the voice turns into more of a "Mr/mrs. Never Good Enough" kind of thing. Atleast, in my experience.. Haha!
Try starting with just doing speed paints, scribbles or sketches. No need to worry about sharing anything that doesn´t feel "complete" or satisfactory. That´s what I´m doing atleast, and I feel that I´m drawing & progressing more than one year ago.

Aye, it´s a struggle for the most of us, but with a little help anyone can "break free" of whatever "chains" that binds them.

I know I know... you're right. I should absolutely do that :3  It's great if doing scribbles and sketches helped you!

Alas, I am not a writer but I am quite fond of poetry and literature. Beside love for the visual arts, I am a complete fool for music and I play the guitar. It is also there perfectionism has been a ghost that has crippling factor. Any attempt to make songs of my own gets totally butchered by the sceptic in my head. It´s getting better but it´s been a rocky road in that department! Haha
