I've loved the golden sun series but the first one has been out of my reach but I beat 2 and 3 I love alot of the characters and I like the djinn summons as well

I will say that I used Bane a lot in the first two games - that little dude could really pwn! He'd come out, bitch slap some poor foo,l and leave em to rot from that crazy toxic poison - like a boss!

Bane was indeed useful. xD Anyway, I liked the most in GS1 Kite and in GS2 Shade. Attacking twice in one turn, destroying the opponents. and using a powerful shield blocking most of the attacks. xD

Kite was epic - you could buff up your party then unleash a wave of summons. BAM!

Shade, Granite and Flash were lifesavers. ALWAYS had those guys ready to help me out in a pinch.

Indeed. xD I always made sure to have Shade, Granite, Flash, and Kite unset for the final battle. xD Anyway, do you have a favorite character class?
