I find this account mysterious and perplexing given its age yet relative "newness". Tell me stranger, did we know each other in another life? (:

No problem. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work! I started this account a long time ago and used it for about a month but I wasn't taking it seriously. I ended up deleting everything on it and never planned on using it again.
Over the past few years, my family's been going through a lot of crap and I found myself feeling very powerless. I determined through therapy that a large reason why I was feeling powerless was because I didn't feel like I could fully express or be myself around the large majority of my family. I have used poetry as a method of emotional processing and reflection for most of my life, but I never felt the need to share it because I was just writing for myself. However, I re-launched this account as a way to reclaim power over my voice. This is a place where, because I have a certain element of anonymity, I can say everything I want to say about my story - and I've chosen to share that through my poetry. It's been very liberating. (Sorry if that explanation was a bit long winded. LOL)
I am very passionate about literature, poetry in particular, and while I have been sharing my story on my own page, I've also been able to get in touch with some amazing artists (like yourself) and hear parts of their stories as well. Now that I have really started to use and explore Deviant Art, it's been an amazing experience.Β
Did we know each other in another life? Maybe, but I don't think we've known each other in this one? At least not yet anyways.
