Ah, is it the carpal tunnel? Get it fixed, girl! I had the surgery myself on my left hand and I can tell you the pain of surgery is nothing compared to the carpal tunnel itself.
I can't wait to see your new one and the photos! I've been pretty good, but so busy that I'm a bit of a stranger on dA myself. Just finally had the time to upload some things . . . and you are most certainly welcome for the llama!

Aye, carpal tunnel...it's gotten so bad in my left wrist that I unintentionally crack it every few minutes, which aggravates it more. D: Alas, I have no insurance to cover the surgery.
I've been busy as well...so I understand. D: I miss everybody here, though!

Oh my god! Do you have a brace for it? My left had was the worst one, too. Haven't had an issue with my right hand yet, thank God. Though it does act up in cold weather.
Sometimes soaking my hand in warm water would help, or giving it a good massage. I'm trying to think of other things I can remember to help the pain.

D: I do have braces, and wear one on my left wrist constantly these days to avoid the constant cracking. My right wrist has the carpal tunnel/tendinitis problem too, but not as severe (which is why it's hard to work on art 
I have a paraffin bath that absolutely saves my hands on bad days. Melted wax helps soooo much.
There is a chance that I may have fibromyalgia, which is why the pain has been flaring up so badly lately. I'm hoping for the test to be negative once I get it done....but...yeah, it's very bad. =\
Any tips for chronic pain, I'd be very glad to hear! <3
