First official 'sword' I drew on the PC was back in 1999 (You can actually see it on my gallery near the last page, a blade called Lenzosar).

Then from 2000-2003 I drew a small line of them, but due to an unfortunate computer crash (twice with Windows ME) I lost all but two of those digital drawings, and the website I had them on was removed.  So I was a bit demoralized for a while before I resumed designing in 2004 and I have not stopped since. (I carried them on backup CDs until I hosted them here in DeviantArt in 2007).

The biggest step I would like to take is learning 3D Studio Max and other programs like that to really bring an edge out there. (Pun intended).

What I would like to do eventually is have them created either by wood, metal, plastic, showcased in a fantasy game, or even now with the advent of 3D Printing, going that route too. I have since then dreamed of having them brought to life in a way much like the Fantasy Blades of Kit Rae.  www.kitrae.net/fantasy/sota_pr… 

Some might say I drew inspiration from him, which quite honest to the word, I have not. I purposefully avoid looking at too much, since I want the designs I make to be completely original and with the thought in mind that they have to stand the test of time and on their own.; which includes the majority of them having names that do not exist and are made up by me. (I use Google to cross-check often)

3D MAX! Oh my, I'm somewhat used to using it from my college course but I don't like it.
Did you REALLY have to do that pun? *facepalm*

That would be the best thing you could get, but I'm sticking with just drawing for now until I get enough skills.

I see where your coming from, I do this but to a whole new level.
I also create all my names from scratch, even though they turn out rubbish.

It was unexpected, but I appreciate the information. I've learned that you also use 3D MAX so that's cool!
