# About me

A little about me... That's a long call, but I'll try

Well, to begin with, my name is Zack, but I like the name Trudos, which is why you'll find me under that name most anywhere on the internet. (Though you must beware, there are fakers out there who have dared to lay claim to it as well. Be on your guard, and do not trust them! )

I'm a child of God, and an absolute believer in Jesus Christ, who is quite simply the reason I'm still alive. And though I know there are many who say He does not exist, I've talked to Him, felt Him near, and I've seen many things, including miracles that would point to the contrary. I also believe that what the bible says is true, and that it is the greatest source of written wisdom to be found, holding far more than most will give it credit for.

A little more about me, I'm a writer who loves to paint powerfully vivid pictures with words, taking you into the depths of darkness, absurdity, and the world of my own heart. I'm also a somewhat talented web developer. I can read html, css, php, and non-overly-mathematically-complex-javascript almost as well as english, hence why it's currently my field of study and my intended career (at least for a while).

I'm a man. A young, artistic, and strange man, but very much a man, on a quest to find an interesting and beautiful woman with whom I can share my life. (However, despite dA being an excellent place to meet people, I've sworn off long distance relationships for good).

I'm also an aspiring (but horribly unmotivated) swordsman, who thinks blades are beautiful, and real (functional, the kind you'd bring to a fight) swords are nothing short of magical.

Lastly, I have a bad habit of adding extra information in parentheses to my text (as you've probably noticed ),

And I'm like no one else you'll ever meet.

My brothers and sisters on dA, with whom I share ties of blood and the soul:

And since you seem to be on, I'll ask you here. I'm not seeing the rules for using your stock. I'm really eyeing this picture for a photomanip I'm making. Are there any rules you'd like observed besides credits in the description?
(I consider credit to be important. It's a way of thanking the photographers who make these things possible )

I should comment on your art again soon, I'm afraid I probably let the ongoing conversations die off as I'm occasionally won't to do
Seriously, I have almost 200 unanswered replies in my inbox stacked up over probably a year I should deal with those, one way or another

And no worries. I've been kinda busy, had an emotional roller coaster the last couple weeks (though to be honest, those happen way too often anyways), and I've just been in one of my more asocial moods where my inbox fills up with stuff for me to look at

Thanks It's nice to know I'm noticed and remembered. That actually means a lot. And I'm doing my best! It's one thing after another right now, but I'm trying to pull myself out. (I'm likely to drown if I don't)

Hahahaha thanks, but it's okay Floaties are less important than the tenacious will to live.
(I would start quoting Kamina here, but you've probably never watched Gurren Lagann. Which is sad, but forgivable)

haha already done.
And Gurren Lagann is the most incredible and inspirational anime show ever written

revois In reply to Trudos [2013-03-24 23:13:59 +0000 UTC]

Tell me about it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trudos In reply to revois [2013-03-25 01:31:25 +0000 UTC]

Oh man... I doubt I can do it justice, but I'll try. (This could be a little long)

Mankind now lives underground in separated little villages, never walking the surface above or seeing the light of day. Simon, the hero of our story, is a cowardly young boy who digs everyday to expand his village, and to find hidden treasures in the earth, but without any further ambition for his life. Enter Kamina, local delinquent, badass, and Simon's adoptive brother. Once, long ago, Kamina went to the surface with his father, and defies the village chief in not only believing that there is a world above ground, but actively plotting ways to escape. His great belief in Simon's hidden courage compels him to involve the young boy in his plans, spurring him onwards with the words "Simon, don't believe in yourself! Believe in me! Believe in me who believes in you!".

Our story begins with Kamina putting yet another insane plan into action, which fails and lands him in the guardhouse for the night. Meanwhile Simon, out digging again, finds what he describes as "a huge face". But when he rushes to tell Kamina, a robot consisting of a giant face and four stubby limbs falls through the village roof, bringing chaos in its wake, and this huge face of Simon's proves to be a pint size robot built along the same lines. Using their new discovery, Kamina and Simon destroy the giant robot and escape to the surface, where a bold new adventure awaits them.
This is the story of a man who walks the path of destiny, and changes the world with his strength and the boldness of his heart.
Chances are I haven't done it justice, but I'll admit to being an anime fan and having seen a fair number of shows (including a whole bunch that I've started but never finished (and probably never will )), and personally, there is only one other show that has moved me so incredibly. I would consider a must watch for anyone curious about anime.

Whoaa. That sounds epic. Have you ever read Tunnels? It's kind of similar...also a wonderful book
That looks like a show I will have to look for on netflix!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trudos In reply to revois [2013-03-26 01:05:08 +0000 UTC]

Haha I've never even heard of it before now, but I just read the wikipedia entry (which does such a wonderful job of ruining the whole plot ), and it sounds interesting! But completely different from Gurren Lagann Even the direction is different. Tunnels sounds like it starts up and heads down. Gurren Lagann starts down and heads up, to the surface, then out into space, then outside the entire universe! In some ways it's ridiculously over the top, but I think that's what I like about the show (it's a bit like myself in that regard xP).
You really should! Even if it only has the dub (I like the subbed version better, but that's more because I think the original japanese voice acting is a bit more epic), it's absolutely worth watching!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

revois In reply to Trudos [2013-03-26 01:11:09 +0000 UTC]

Well....they're both digging???? xD
Yknow, I like over-the-top sort of things. They get their point across and then some to make sure that you don't miss anything.
Ahhh yes, I like subs much better than dubs, too. There's something about the original voice haha. I feel like English doesn't do most things justice. I love watching movies in French, it's my guilty pleasure haha.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trudos In reply to revois [2013-03-26 01:25:53 +0000 UTC]

lol even though Simon gets the title of Simon the Digger, there isn't a lot of digging really However, drills are a major motif throughout the series, especially once they start talking about the metaphysics of Spiral Energy.
Really now? That's quite awesome actually. I agree with you, I love intense and over the top stuff that way. And I think the absurdity such things often wander into actually makes it better, because even as we mentally separate it from reality, it does a better job of moving us and causing us to reflect on reality at the same time.
Oooooh! Now that's interesting. What's your favorite french movie?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

revois In reply to Trudos [2013-03-26 02:02:21 +0000 UTC]

And what is Spiral Energy?
Most definitely (: Do you watch much of Studio Ghibli? It's just bizarre enough to make you disconnect, while realistic enough to make you feel like it's not completely absurd. I love all of that stuff... being a Lit major, too, I love making all the connections and seeing what vague inferences I can pull from nowhere

Haha, I think it's interesting!! My all time favorite has got to be the Intouchables. Although recently I watched Un Monstre a Paris. It was really cool, kind of a French Pixar sort of thing going on with a fun soundtrack.
