I've been needing to replace a lot of them for a really long time, but every time I manage to start saving money for 'em, something comes up DX It's balls.

Aaaaaaw. Well, I hope you can get some soon.
Me I use Promarkers, because here they are less expensive than copics. I don't know for were you are, though. Also some shops sell them for a lower price, it could be interesting to search a little to find places were prices are lower? Anyways good luck in saving money and I cross my fingers for nothing bad happens that comes to take your markers money!

I use Prismacolors, and I have found a number of places where I can get them cheap, including in person. One of the perks of practically living on a collage campus in a super artsy area :3 I should be able to start saving again soon -- I've finally got my housing situation all worked out, so now it's mostly just a matter of tucking money away until I can get what I need :3
How are Promarkers?

Yay, glad you have some problems out of the way! ^^
I never tried Prismacolors. Always used Promarkers, mainly because they were the only one they sold, at the art shop. I got used to them. Their colors are pretty vivid, and the result is always super smooth. I guess the main difference with the other markers is that the tip is solid, instead of being a brush (if you understand what I mean?).
But I especially like how you can blend colors. Like in this: [link] If you wait for the markers to dry, and pass another layer of it later, it's neat (like the shadows on the skin; while if you pass the second layer before it dries, the colors blend (like the hair, or blue feathers).

I'll have to check into them then The sound like they're pretty similar to Prismacolors, in that they have the solid tips instead of the brush tips, which I don't like. I've got a pretty firm hand when drawing, lol, so brush tips and I don't get along too well.
