if that's the case, everything I do looks like s***. But you can't get anywhere without trying I have a binder full of drawings I dislike, but IMO only one is complete crap.. It was a project I abandoned because I hated it, then picked it up again because I didn't want to "quit" maybe something awful in the long run ='[

I only keep it as a motivational thing..

Maybe it's just the stress that's getting me. Prom is tomorrow, like I said I'm not going but everyone won't leave me alone over the fact that I decided to opt out...still got about a month left of school and I've just been emotionally wrecked. I'm mostly just pissed off at myself because I can't come up with something good to show everyone. I can upload some of my practice sketches but why bother because no one is going to comment or give me any useful feedback...even though they said they would. Everyone else I watch are able to upload awesome pics on a daily basis and frankly, I'm jealous...to give you an idea of how I feel about this, it's like I'm running the mile with everyone but I'm a one legged slowpoke while everyone else is sprinting laps around me

I spent 6 months working on that train drawing and the only people who commented were the ones who knew about it. All that work and I didn't get crap in return. Instead, everyone loved that half-ass drawing I did for Deanna.

Instead of drawing to please us, draw to please yourself. We are all just a bonus. A group of people who value art as much as you do. While not everyone may leave comments, you know that those who do either love your art, or love you as a friend. As long as there is one person out there, that is all that is needed to make one want to continue their art career. If I let my emotions get to me, I would have left DA forever, but stayed for a small few group of people.

I left this account for dead but came back to start again because I really wanted to do this. I'd be going against myself if I decided to leave a second time. I really do like your words of wisdom, the only thing I can think of saying is just thank you. ^^

I still have homework but the weekend is here so, I dunno I've been thinking that I can put my practice to use and finally get involved with other people to get my inspiration, like art trades...or even requests
