The android watches the other with mild interest, but keeps his distance.Β 9S can sense a strange energy emanating from this stranger, and it is this energy that keeps him on the side of caution.Β The small pod-like robot hovering over his shoulder briefly shined a scanning field over Kiibo, and 9S tilted his head curiously,
"Strange...are you an android by any chance?Β It's been awhile since I encountered another of my own.Β Though...judging from your lack of a serial code, I'm assuming you're not a YoRHa model.Β So...who created you?"
It's amazing what one may find in the rubble of a ruined city...what relics the humans of ages passed have left behind.Β Was this one such relic?Β And he is not all that privy to things like angels and demons.

"... Me? I usually classified myself as a robot. Not an android..."
The demon tilted his head slightly in curiosity, knowingly staring back at the android. He hadn't seen much of his kind roam around, either; however, it shouldn't have mattered anymore to him considering he was technically no longer a robot. Being dead meant that all of his robotic functions and coding were no longer relevant to his life. It saddened him, but it was something that he had to accept eventually. The other's scanning field and robotic features were no surprise to him.
"Notice how I used the past tense. I was a robot, but now I'm just... this. A spawn from Hell and nothing more." His tone of voice was sorrowful as if he wanted to live again.

"Hmm...well, I suppose there's little difference between the two.Β Inorganic beings created by humans...or some other intelligent life form. I mean...there are sapient machines wandering about, and they definitely look more like the so-called 'robots' I've seen in old textbooks."
9S lifted his hand and a holographic screen appeared in front of him - though it wasn't immediately clear where it was being projected from.Β He was able to manipulate it with a touch, making more screens spawn from it.Β Hell?Β He was not fully aware of such a place...though, he's heard certain areas here on this barren planet being described as hell...or hell-ish because of how inhospitable they are, even for the few non-hostile machines that call this place home,
"How does a robot become...not a robot exactly?Β Was there a fault in your programming, perhaps?"

"There is a difference! Robots can take the form of a human but are not required, and androids are always taking the form of a human. For example, I take the form of a human for the most part, but my creator gave me headphone-shaped ears and different functions that do not look human-like."
The technology the other was using was incredible to him... Nothing like anything he was able to do. In fact, because of it, he felt slightly envious. His functions all used to be so... boring -- well, not to him at least -- but to the ones he displayed them to. He watched, hoping that he'd perhaps learn something from it.
"No... My programming hadn't been touched in a while." He shook his head, folding his arms over his chest. "The reason I am not a robot anymore is because I died... My body is no longer functional. My soul was reaped a little over a week ago-..."

"A small difference really...if an Android wished to transfer their data into the chassis of a robot, they could.Β The two might be different functionally but...well, if you ripped my arm off, you'd see I am just as mechanical in nature as you are."
With a wave of his hand, the holographic screens disappear and he returns his attention to Kiibo.Β A soul...having been told many times that he doesn't have one.Β But how can that be when he can do almost everything a human can do? The scanner knew there was more to him than just fancy robotics,
"Hmm...curious.Β You're nothing like the machines I'm used to encountering."
With his hovering companion close behind him, 9S approaches the other,
"I am...former YoRHa unit, No. 9, Type S.Β Commonly referred to as 9S.Β Though...I would prefer it if you just called me Nines."

Kiibo gave the other a faint smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Please refer to me as Kiibo~" He gave the other a respectful bow before standing straight, adjusting the positioning of his tail and wings. "... I was quite a powerful machine that rarely malfunctioned and had various functions. However, due to my death, I can no longer provide such functions. I can still open metal panels on my body but nothing much else."
It's no longer a surprise to Kiibo or his friends and family that he has a soul. It's been known for quite a while and they've all began to accept and believe that such robots and androids have souls. And with the things he taught them about souls as an angel, it added onto the fact.

i am in love with the hope that shines within you.i wasn't sure which one would be smooth enough for them to meet 'n interact so i came up with something onspot!!! hope it's alrighttt(i.c.) The lanky male happened to have been sitting upon a small flight of stairs upon the street. Part of his large, green hoodie slid down over the particular stair he was on, and resting ontop of the one underneath.
Letting out a relieved sigh, followed by his innocent smile(which, most would suspect as discomforting if they were to know him), his gaze followed the truthfully talentless people as they walked by, spectating them with curiosity.
However, even Komaeda --- the worthless, disgusting piece of trash, had manners for people's possible discomfort if they were to notice, so he'd trail his attention onto something else.
He lowered his head backwards, his fluffy, white hair's curls following the movement, of course, and he simply let himself be consumed by the beauty of the currently clear, blue sky.
He really was lucky if he was managing to see such a sight.
However, he could've sworn he'd seen movement near the corner of his eye.

Most of the time, he would take the form of an inanimate object, an animal, or an average everyday person if he wanted to simply spy on the world... And it always worked. No one ever suspected he was a demon when he shape-shifted into something else. Absolutely no one. } Β
{ However, today was different. He completely forgot that he was still in the outside world and had changed back to his regular demonic form, flying through the skies without a care. A few shrieks from people passing could be heard from time to time, and others simply just did not look up. He figured that since he had already been noticed, it would be useless to transform back into something as they'd see that, too. }
{ He landed a few feet away from the steps -- very close to Komaeda. Panting slightly from the tension, he quickly dusted himself off and slapped his tail onto the floor in defeat. Exhaustion blew over him as he simply just wanted a meal by this point... } Β
{ Technically, the meal was right in front of him... And that was Komaeda. He could kill the other... But it'd be wrong, right? Instead, for now, he decided to keep himself hidden -- or at least, he tried. } Β
