The military just thawed my corpse from cryogenics so it looks like I'll be serving another 4 years. We won't be able to get married until early 2020. I hope you don't mind the long wait. I can't wait to show you the new left arm they built for me.

Hi Emmy! How are you doing? Are you still cranking out art on your computer? I hope so. As for me, I've resurfaced in Florida and I'm actually on the grid for once! I live in a city now complete with electricity, running water, paved roads, you know--civilization. My schedule has freed up, but more importantly, my mood has improved, so I have time and energy to do art again. What do you say we start up the Skype group again?

I got quite a laugh from that one! Nice wit. You know I was in the military in a past life that I'd prefer to forget; I still keep the haircut--an old remnant from the past.
Sounds very good, just give me a moment to reinstall skype and I'll reconnect with the group. Just in case, I may not use the same Skype handle as before.....it depends. If I have to use a different handle, I'll let you know in this thread. There's a 3 hour time difference for me in my new location so if the group is on the same schedule as before then it would mean that the group convenes at 9am for me, which would be much better than noon. And more good news!!! I now have a very stable internet connection (DSL broadband at 6mps) so I don't have any more excuses for skipping out on the group.

We're an unusual color-oriented group with our own rules--we only accept works that have more than a certain amount of color in them, are extremely color-focused and we really appreciate good presentation. This to only bring you, dear members and watchers, the color-wise best and most inspiring pieces of art!

The easiest way to take advantage of the group is with our Features! We do a weekly 1 person feature, with a few paragraphs of your strengths, some pointers on how to improve and one Featured Deviation
To get a feature, all you have to do is check out the most recent feature and add a comment onto the Featured Deviation!
I'm sure you're wondering, "How can you encourage people to say something other than "cool"?" Well, our group offers badges to commend thoughtful, kind, encouraging critiques and words. So far, we have not had anyone simply give a one word reply. Which makes us very happy!
So, the badges you may ask? Currently we offer two badges, The Community Spirit Award and the Rising Star Award. The Community Spirit Award basically commends people who are community minded, offering critiques, comments, features etc.
While the "Rising Star Award" is issued out once a month to those who appear to be "One to watch"; showing great promise and skill. Its recoginising hard work, basically C:
