Just so you and everyone else knows- it appears that you have been removed, but I had nothing to do with that. My reply to your last message was rejected, due to your removal, but it was:

It sounds as if I have been wrong, not only in my assumptions about your process, but in the method of handling this situation. On this site, I have seen a lot of works stolen or misappropriated and its frustrating. Your work so closely approximates an actual picture that instead of considering it evidence of misuse, it could be a testament to your talent.

Countless times I have seen members either use other member's work or downloaded content from the net by simply applying a readily available Photoshop action or filter and uploading it as a brand new piece of original art. Regardless of talent or effort, even that scenario is not a direct violation of use, when proper credit is given.

One of the reasons I like DA is that, as a whole, it is loose and accommodating of its members' art. Everyone has a place, here. It's certainly not my job to police the content of this site and if you have legitimate work you are exhibiting, then I should keep my opinions about it to my self. I'm sorry about all of this and good luck.

I love it. It is clunky, slow, and doesn't always focus very well, but that's why it is 100 dollars. I bought it for low-light situations, but have come to love it for it's depth of field. It's pretty narrow and it won't focus on anything closer than, like, 2-1/2 ft., so it's not for landscapes or macros, but it is perfect for portraits. Like I said, I love it. Everything going OK for you guys?

Thanks for getting back to me, I just got in the mail today. You are right, I did some test shots tonight and it was clunky, slow, and kind of loud? I also noticed that it didn't focus so well, I was a little disappointed about that because I hadn't expected that. But like you said for $100 bucks you can't expect too much. I had read from some other photographers that it is their go to lens, so I thought that I would give it a try. Have you tried using any filters? I ordered a polarizing filter, but I didn't realize that none of my lens are the same size and it only fits the kit lens which isn't my favorite. But I am excited to try it anyway. Things are going really good for us, we are looking forward to leaving Oklahoma by the end of September and getting settled in VA. It's been great spending time here with our family, we have missed out on so much over the last 7 years. How are things going for you? Are you still considering doing some photography for pay? Hey did I tell you about this great company that I used recently for prints? Here is the link they do a great job [link] . Their service was really fast and they made pictures look better than I thought they could. If you are considering making a business out of it you should check this place out.
