Your art is flawlessly beautiful and delicate!! I wish I had the ability to manifest the things I have within through art. But unfortunately when I try its as if I have two left hands. Maybe you can help,is art something you naturally had an aptitude for or did you work to develop your skill through patience and hard work? Oh and by the way YOU KNOW YOU ARE A QUEEN RIGHT! I have a feeling that some how to you that sounds familiar.

Thanks Chris.
I think creativity is innate, but skill has to be developed and honed.
Some poeple have the ideas, but not the talent/skill to bring their ideas to fruition.
Some have technical skill, but no ideas.

You are so welcome! And thank you for the faves!
I love your painting style. I'm trying to get better at painting realistically with acrylics. Could you give me some tips? Other than practise

Thank youHaha yeah pratice is prob the main tip to getting better with acrylics. Other then that the type of brushes used makes a big difference. The best kind for skin blending are the cheap bristle brushes. I think I pay like $5 a pack and get about 15 all different sized ones. To get subtile blends I wipe most the paint off on a paper towel 1st. It also helps with acylics to add a bit of white to any color your mixing to make it more opaque since they tend to be a little on the transparent side. I also like to mix a little bit of neutral gray in to dull colors down some. One of the other main things I do to keep things realistic is to always use reference pictures.

So the gray is why your palette is the way it is? I love it though. Thank you.
I did go to college and major in painting, as well as photography, but they were so hung up on concept and didn't teach any technique.

Your welcome Yeah I use a lot of gray to keep the colors faded down. Or you could just mix white and black of course if you don't feel like buying gray, but I think it saves a lot of time to just have it already. I was fortunate to have an excellent teacher when I went to school. If it wasn't for him I prob would have learned basically nothing from the other teachers. Hope everything work out alright for you. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't go so well at first All realistic style acylic paintings start out looking terrible then after you work on it for so long it begins to look like you are getting somewhere haha
