IDW are among the very best publishers on the current comic scene, and I think their handling of the upcoming new Sonic project looks to be shaping up accordingly. They are clearly going out of their way to hire the best possible talent for the job, and appear genuinely focused on laying the groundwork for a long-term success while still remaining respectful towards Sonic's prior history.

Personally, while I have certainly enjoyed the Sonic comics in the past, I am far more interested in what Archie veteran and long time Sonic fan Ian Flynn can accomplish now that he's finally out of the bizarre circus of creative differences, external meddling and lawsuits which marred the Archie run.

I say this is the time for Sonic fans to look ahead, not backwards. I am confident that Flynn, under IDW, can bring the Sonic franchise to a level of greatness beyond anything we have seen before.

I think we should just leave them to it.
