In answer to your comment: I would consider the final use of your entry as the main factor. If it could be used in a commercial capacity after your submission then you are responsibly for that commercial use of the stock, which without permission would put you at odds with Resurgere's rules and in all likelihood you would break the contest rules by submitting copyrighted martial. It would be in your best interest to get permission before hand then.

yer probably right... but... i'm far more than just a graphic designer, in fact that's more like towards the middle of the list.

not nearly as elaborate as you're recomending but it's something anyways... i just thought it made for a good background as the colors seemed pretty similar to that psychedelic jesus. the links still work if you are at all interested, personally i've never ordered from those sites but interesting reading material to be found at the least.
btw and fyi the texture began as a self-portrait... back around the time i got desperate and drank cough syrup (DXM)

well you seem to be in the same situation when i first started graphics. what kinda stuff are you havin trouble with? 'cause you might be able to find some tutorials about the place that could get you started.

glad you found the texture usefull, come past my page some time when you need more - i have plenty, and off all sorts .
