Both. the only legality is that you cannot resell or redistribute the actual vector files.

Hi! I'm currently doing an art course and our Portraiture assessment is coming up. I found your vector portraits while doing research and thought it's an epic idea. I was wondering if you could tell me how I could make a vector portrait in photoshop? 'Cause I want to do one of myself and draw it onto paper using the 3 colours. I think It would be quite easy to draw and could turn out pretty awesome :) (Smile) I would really appreciate it :D (Big Grin) Thanks!

thank you for your interest.
I'm not sure how exactly to do vector portraits in Photoshop, I created mine in illustrator but i cant imagine its much different. The fastest way for you to get started if you have illustrator, is use the autotrace with only 3 colors then go in and clean it up a bit, change the colors add details etc... if you have a wacom tablet that would help be of benefit as well for the cleanup and details. Hope that helps and good luck in all your future endeavors.

I love your work my friend! I'd really like to base a tattoo off some of your imagery.

Can you explain briefly the process behind these wonderful graphics of yours? I.e. do you hand draw the whole composition and then make the vectors, or do you collage stuff together from other clip-art type sources, etc...?

The backgrounds are collages of very modified stock image art while the main centerpiece is usually hand drawn in illustrator using wacom tablet. Thank you for your interest.
