Hey hey hey! How's life been treating you?
I've been doing great, actually. My last semester at UNL has been insanely busy! I'm graduating in December. Along with my three classes, I'm doing an internship at the Great Plains Art Museum here in Lincoln, NE, and I also still work at The Fort in town. So between rushing from my job to class to internship, I'm busy working on my paintings for my Capstone exhibition at the end of the semester, as well as working on researching and writing/editing the beginning of my novel for my Advanced Fiction Writing class. I am taking Advanced Fiction Writing, Art Since 1945, Art Capstone, and my internship at the museum is counting towards credit for art history. So yeah, it's been crazy stupid busy, and this semester is FLYING by! Before I know it, I'll be walking across the stage and receiving my degree after 7 years of college! The end is nigh! There's a light at the end of the tunnel, but that also comes with terror, since I'm starting to look for jobs while doing all this.
I took down Maddie's story from this website as well as Fan Fiction because I felt like it wasn't going anywhere, plus I knew this last semester was going to be insane, and I needed to be focused on finishing college on a good note with good grades and all that. Maybe some time soon I'll get back to her story and write it out....Maybe not. I'm starting to not feel as crazy obsessed over RDR like I used to... But since RDR 2 will be coming out next year, I'm sure my obsession will be rekindled LOL! Besides, I feel like it's time for me to focus on my novel instead of fan fictions--as an English major, I am feeling ashamed for having written a fan fiction that's taken three years of my time, when I should've been writing my novel and getting a good grasp on my original characters and all that.
And thank you for noticing my profile pic.
Hope things are going well with you. ^.^

Ah I've been doing pretty good overall thanks for asking! ^^
Oh it sounds really exciting, and congratulations on gradutating in a month, sounds like time really flies by for you at the moment Seven years is a damn long time, you sure do deserve your degree and I'm sure if you keep an positive attitude people would love to have you work for them! What kind of job are you looking for now? (if I may ask of course).
Yeah it sounds like you had enough on your plateΒ already. I'd be amazed if you're not going to have a small mental break down in December. Haha that's not a new thing I guess because I'm not feeling the same about it either, but there's no blame in that. I mean there will always be the same things to do, so it was about time that they came with the second (or third however you see it) game! Writing is one hell of an art, I'm already impressed that you've pulled off three amazing stories based off of a fandom and still be so original with the stories. Have you already got a steady idea for your novel? Well I'm sure you'll be able to create a great novel, wheter it be in one year, three or seven years, as long as you stay determined and are able to completely fill in your own time, you'll get there. And don't be ashamed just see those three years as practice and for creating a small fan base for yourself
No problem, it looks great!

Yeah, I can't believe it....after all these years, I'll finally be done! It's such a wonderful feeling, but I'm also kind of scared--looking for a job that pertains to what I want to do sounds hard to find. I'm thinking about trying to get a job at an art museum. I'm just hoping to find something that pertains to both English and Art (my double-major). Here's to hoping I find something soon. ^.^
And as far as my novel goes, it's kind of a long story.... Hope you're ready to read a lot lol
So back in high school I created these two characters, British brothers who live their lives as thieves. Originally they were a part of a fanfiction I wrote for Van Helsing (it was fucking terrible, believe me ), but then I took the brothers out of that story and started writing original short stories about their adventures being thieves. As the years passed, their story has evolved into what it currently is. The synopsis for my book is basically the brothers coming to America in 1856 with their mother in search of a new beginning and for their father, who's gone missing/hasn't written to them in a long time. The father left a year ago to strike it rich in California during the Gold Rush, and the mother and boys haven't heard from him since, so the mother sells the farm, and she and the boys travel overseas to America. Unfortunately, the mother dies shortly after arriving, and so the boys are orphaned in a new country. The book is basically about their struggle to survive in the "new world".
If you like, I can send you the first two chapters of my book.

I guess wherever you live, you want to visit somewhere else. The world's so big; it would be a shame to not travel it and see all its beauty and wonders.

I'm so sooo sorry that I haven't updated in forever! I've been busy with work (since it's the holidays and we're always busy), plus this semester will be over in a week and a half, and I have a lot of paintng and writing to get done before the semester is over for Christmas. Plus, I've been in a bad funk lately: as in I have no ambition to get the chapter onto paper and I've been super bitter and moody and depressed lately. Thanksgiving always sucks for me, and so does Christmas.
But I will hope to update within two weeks or so. Maybe. Depends on how ambitious I am with school work and how fast I can get all that done.

Hey, I just read "Dead Man's Gun" over on FF.net. I freaking LOVED it. It's rare a fanfiction grips me so much that I stop everything I'm doing and just sit and read the whole thing, but this one did. The writing, the characterization, everything was just brilliant.
So have a watch and Llama! You deserve 'em.
