yay DA isn't an image hosting site, it's for hosting things you drew yourself. There are a lot of other sites where you can collect and show off things you like, but this isn't one.Β

it's true. A lot of people break the rules too. Eventually they get found out, yelled at, and banned. DA has milllllions of users and very small staff. Sometimes it takes a while before they act. DA can be a very good and fun site with a lot of nice people, but they're not going to warm up to you if you start off by breaking the site's most basic rules.Β
If you want to throw up a pic you drew yourself or something you made, I'm sure lots of people would like to see it and help you on your artistic journey

and that is the problem. this isn't a website where you can just post pictures. there are TONS of websites for that. post them on photobucket or flickr. not here. when you post things that you didnt create on an art website, you overshadow other people's hard work and you're basically saying 'I dont care about the purpose of this website, and I don't care if you don't have a place for just art'. it's rude, selfish and people are going to be pissed off at you until you smarten up and stop.

I was very civil with you and I still am being. Telling someone something they don't want to hear does not equate to yelling. This will all stop once you delete the images that shouldn't be in your gallery.

Excuse me, but posting art without properly crediting the true owner is "stealing" their art. This kind of action is actually illegal if you continue to do it to an extent without correcting the way you post them. It's not wrong of us to point this out, so don't tell us that we're doing something stupid. You can A. post a link to the original art in the description, or B. Put the artist's name/user and what site you found it on. Please heed our warning so we wont need to report you,))

it isn't. "illegal" is a word people throw around a lot but there are so many things to consider; a) different country, different laws., b) even Western countries like the US, there's no law that says 'anyone who reposts art without giving credit will go to jail". It's not a crime. The most you could get in trouble for it would be to get banned on sites like DA, or, someone could try to sue you for copyright infringement, but that's so unlikely its ridiculous. They'd have to find you, find out if that's even a grounds for an action in your country, hire international lawyers, find you in your country, and even then there are ways you can defend yourself hahaha sorry for writing a novel.Β
tl;dr Plagiarism isn't a crime. Infringement may be in some cases, but this isn't really a case. This is more, someone doing something that goes against the morals of what DA is for.
