AHAHA - I knew exactly which K' photo you were talking about because the recognition I get for that costume is few and far between due to lack of popularity!
But when people recognize me they get pretty pumped so it's still worth it!
I was the Jecht! I was stuck in the dealers room working most of the con!

I can recall a female Law crossplayer quite a few years back, I think right about the time we were in Shabody and first ever saw the Supernovas. I was Alvida then too, but this was pre-sewing skills, so I wasn't very good.

Oh...my god...you're kidding. I..I remember that picture. And that horrible costume!!! My first attempt at cosplay! Wearing my...winter coat. I don't even know what my hat is doing. Wow, this picture, I don't believe it! Are there others from that shoot?
So yes! I do know you! I remember being so impressed that someone came out with Law that fast after the chapter, and I remember your Bepo bear now that you show me this picture. Oh dear...there really need to be some better pictures of me circulating as Alvida. This is crazy. You are that Law, I remember you now. Any plans to make his post-timeskip outfit?

You still looked really rad, and with time comes improvement. I have a wig for Law now and a much better hoodie, even re purchased some pants to better macth the color of the anime version (Sine I based mine off Manga version, I made my pants white with out knowing) XD
Absolutely have plans for all his post-time skip outfits! Already have one in the works.

Wow...oh my goodness. Thank you. And now, oh dear...this is...so embarrassing. (Look how tiny a group we are!!) My skills have vastly improved, I assure you. I took apart 3 different patterns to make that coat, among other details. You should have seen...individual stitches for every pink stripe on that damn coat!! I had a proper photoshoot done but my photographer hasn't put it on dA.
You look so good, it's not fair. I can't manage crossplays...I just don't have the looks. You look amazing! You looked great as Law then, and you look even better now. I can't wait to see your post-timeskip version! As someone who actually sews now, I would really love to make that coat. Just for fun. I wouldn't cosplay Law, but if a friend wanted that coat I'd make it in a heartbeat.
Gee...I'd really love to see Alvida's post timeskip outfit...hmm...maybe in another 3 and a half years I'll see her again...
I think I saw you in the dealer's room as Sanji, I recall a Sanji at one of the vendors booths. (I was pointed out One Piece characters to my friend who isn't a One Piece fan.)

ITS AWAYS BRUTAL WAITING FOR PHOTOS FROM A PHOTOGRAPHER.
I'm often super antsy and the annoying client who will email them a month later and be like "SOOO PHOTOS?! :'D "
There's a lot of girl characters I can't carry well because of my more manly features.
Like "Cute" will never be a thing for me, they need to either be "Lady like" or if now "WOMEN" since I don't have the looks (or height) to be a Loli x'D
I'm NOT looking forward to sewing that coat as the faux fur I'd want to make it from is going to be sooooo heavy x'D
I have no idea if there was other Sanji's since I was stuck int he booth the whole day and didn't get to move unless it was washroom break!

I saw them! They look amazing!! But he asked me not to put them on dA under my name, he said he'd upload them, and he hasn't. So...I just look at them occasionally, but i'd like them to be shared.
I have mildly androgynous features, but not enough to rock it in a costume. I can put on a vest and toss my short hair and look tomboyish or even a little butch, but as my friends are quick to point out when I try to do drag, I have giant eyes and giant lips. I hear you on cute though...I'll never be a cute schoolgirl. I stopped looking 15 when I was 15. I've always had "grown woman" features. The mature, glamorous, elegant woman is what I can rock. I've toyed with the idea of doing Robin once or twice.
Faux fur is disgusting to sew. I actually had a friend who was thinking about commissioning that coat from me and I was poking around fabrics, the best thing I saw was a faux suede. It had the right "furry" texture but it wasn't over fluffy. But it was really expensive. That coat would also be super heavy at any con. It has to be furry though...the people who just use plain black fabric aren't doing it right.
I don't remember that well...really. I just remember telling my friend "That's Sanji" in a booth. I was trying to point out all the OP characters for her. She was really into my costume, and I was there with two other friends who do know One Piece and love to give me grief for being like...one of Alvida's 5 fans in the world. And my friend was like "Will we see anyone else dressed as Alvida?!"
