hey,
My band MudFish would like to know if we could use your painting "Fish Bones" as a symbol for our band.

I'm sorry for my late reply; I don't check my front page often.
I'm very honored that you like 'fish bones' enough to use as a symbol for your band. However, I made 'fish bones' for a friend and would like to keep the image personal.
Thanks again; you really made me happy just by making your request. Do you happen to have any music online I could listen to? You have my curiosity.

Sent you a picture I saw, I thought perhaps this person's picture was a closer depiction of Ashrei. Check it out~ After seeing it, my Ashrei looks like a "nice" person."

To link just copy and paste the url. As for Ariel-D, I have her on my watch since we know each other, so I've seen a lot of her stuff. (We beta-read each others' Entreri fiction sometimes.) (smile)

I'm going to do a nasty thing.
I'm tagging you.
The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic: (6) weird habits/things/secrets and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their devpage comments and tell them to read yours....

Unfortunately, killing mice is a hard fact of life. It has to be done.
You can be my friend until you rip a live octopus' arm off before my face. At that point I'm going to have to put an end to it. (I speak from experience.) Of course, do anymore of that wonderful art of yours and I'd be tempted to take you back. (smile)

Soondae sounds good.....Thank you for reminding me. Heheh. Although I plan to make Curry Rice today. They sell roasted chestnuts on the streets. I have been totally wanting croissants. Really bad! Brioch, brownies, bagels, loaves of bread with cheese and herbs and peppers in them....sourdough, Carrot cakes, baguettes, with cream of broccoli....

They have croissants here at work. I walked by them thinking of you as I went to buy scrambled eggs (which I drown in salsa and hot sauce). You always want brownies! Hmm, well, at least I know what to get you for your birthday, though I am sorry to say, they won't arrive on time.

i hear you. Vacation sounds gooood. I have been whining about going to England even more soundly lately. I love my floor heating. Floor heating and tangerines...I can't wait until they start selling baked sweet potatoes on the street!

Waaah! Mikan! I want some freaking mikan! They're soft enought to eat and everything. The ones in America suck ass. Only thing they sell on the street here is hotdogs, though if you are really lucky, you can get authentic Mexican or even MIddle Eastern. But not very often and not with all the vareity in Korea. Or how about yatai? I want some yamaimo okonomiyaki, oden from 7-11, or those roasted mushroom caps, and even Hakata ramen. I don't usually like ramen, but Hakata ramen kicks.
This is sad, it is Thanksgiving and the very last on my mind is turkey. I want soondae! Hot tea and yakgwa! Kimchi chigae! Ox tail soup! ...yes... this is pathetic....

Yeah, that thing is all marker. The artist has a great gallery, too.
And yes, I moved out of my freezing space last week. Now, if only they would use heat instead of AC here at work... Is your floor all toasty? I want Korean heating! I also want a vacation.

Thanks so much for the watch, Eu! I love your pic of Jaka . . . wish my conceptual drawings came out as nice.
As for tea - of course you put milk in certain varieties. I don't understand the weird looks either. Perhaps it's a Canadian thing, though, or a Brit thing, like Iced Tea actually being Sugar Tea here. Who knows.

euphorbic In reply to darkhelmetj [2005-11-10 23:31:38 +0000 UTC]
Eu? Have I become an expression disgust or a conglomerate of countries? (smile) I'll let you use it.
Canadians take milk in tea? Americans don't. In Japan they call it Milk Tea when you add milk. God, this is the perfect time of year for a warm can of 'Gogo no Koucha' ('afternoon tea'). Perfect for cold fingers and it tastes wonderful, too.
Glad you like him, though he is intolerably gray. I happen to love your nature photos; I'm an insect lover.

darkhelmetj In reply to euphorbic [2005-11-10 23:40:06 +0000 UTC]
I didn't even realize I'd used 'Eu'. I've picked it up from other people . . . lol You can be a conglomerate of countries if you want.
I know that whenever tea is served at resturants it's generally accompanied by milk or sugar, or the waiter asks for it. I do remember being in Minneapolis once and asking for iced tea and being startled by receinving *cold tea*. lol The waiter gave me a lot of odd looks for pouring sugar packets and squeezing a lemon into it . . . I'll have to try the Japanese tea, though - it probably tastes a bit different. For cold fingers, I generally resort to a cup of instant chicken noodle soup.
The last time I drew a drow he came out purple. Still haven't fixed that . . . And I'm glad you like the photos. I'm afraid all I have to take pictures of from now until spring is snow. *snorts*

Other people call me Eu? Heh, looks like people a have been talking about me. Hope it was all bad and scary and involved war crimes and threats against puppies and kittens. Except it was probably Ariel and I trust her.
Ice tea... um, it is called 'ice' though? Or do you mean ordering tea and getting ice tea? Yep, that would be a shocker. In the more southern states you can get sweetened ice tea and all that needs is milk and you are set. (and if milk in my hot tea got weird looks, you can imagine what milk in my cold tea brings) I'm in a state consider a border between north and south, so I can find the sweetened tea, though I have to know where to look.
(And what's wrong with purple drow? Better than light gray, because purple is a bit more realistic.)

darkhelmetj In reply to euphorbic [2005-11-11 18:01:57 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, it was. I should just leave the Eu thing now before I do more 'damage'. I'm so talented at inserting my foot into my mouth.
Canadian Iced/Ice Tea is American Sweet Tea. Or so I was told by someone on LE once before a long time ago . . . .
The only thing that bothers me about purple drow is - at least to me - they look oxygen deprived. But that's just the science half of my brain working overtime. I suppose grey looks cadaverish, though. Makes me wonder, how do people manage to actually make them look properly black?
