I saw his recently-published copy of "Wolverine: Prodigal Son" at the Comic Swap today and immediately recognized his artwork (and his name on the cover, haha). An interesting manga-esque take on the classic American comic character.

You know I was looking through your gallery and the quality level has vastly improved in the last year. The stuff from a year ago is great but those comic covers have so much more depth, your angles are better, your foreshortening is better. What did you do man?

haha As a matter of fact, don't give up gaming! Video games make good inspiration. It helps me with my referencing and keeps my creativity flowing. That's if you pay attention to the graphics and not just play it

heyy! Yeah, I've loved reading/drawing comic book characters since I could long remember. I really want to go professional but I feel like I can still use a LOT of work, and also I know how hard and financially unstable the field can be but I want in!
My friend and all are trying to start a small design company that deals with conceptual art and illustration, but again... we have some work to do lol.
It's always good to know what a small world it is!

I've actually been on CA.org and believe to have opened an account to but I don't what happened. I'll have to look back into it!
And let me know when you want to have this jam! I'm always willing if I have the time. Also me and a few friends usually have art battles. We don't do it as much anymore but what we would do is get together and time ourselves (usually an hour) and draw what theme/character we randomly choose. Then we have 3 judges (usually friends and such) cast their votes. It's pretty cool but pretty rough since the outcome never turns out too great due to the pressure and time constraint. Overall, it's good practice on accomplishing something in the 1 hour lol.

I totally agree, its hard to find lots of artists that AREN'T anime or manga styled based, now i mean i like those styles too but i prefer western comic stuff instead.
speaking of, which studio you interested in? Marvel? or something smaller? I hope to get into comics myself at some point but i doubt i'll work for something like marvel just because i don't draw that style.
