# About me
I am created in the image of my Creator. Thus, to create is my God-Given destiny.
I am an artist....
..... I draw, paint, sculpt, etc. This is true.
----HOWEVER, the way we look at the world, value our capacity for creation and desire to express it is what makes an artist, not the creation of works of art. Some who make "art" are not really artists.
I am a "student" because learning and exploring is what life is about.
I list my art as "varied" because in writing and in art I do a little of every genre and media and style and subject. learning. exploring.
I am a member of the Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints [LDS for short]AKA a Mormon.
I am living in Manhattan Ks in a small upstairs apartment with my My 18 year old daughter Aubyn, and we have no pets her to speak of which is unusual for us,
my eternal companion decided to divorce me suddenly after 20 years of marriage. I work a lot and earn less than I need to survive, but I'm surviving.
I am a mother and step mother of many adult children,
I am a grandmother and step grandmother of many grandchildren and step children and step grand children.
I have great parents who still together nearby, doing well for being in their mid 80s.
I studied many different things at Kansas State university and after 10 years graduated with a BS in Social science and Anthropology.
Music was very important to me as a teen ager, before the church. I wanted to be a Rockstar, because I was bipolar, slightly autistic and very clueless.
Mostly I now prefer the natural music of God and Man's creations--- the weather outside my window and the birds and the train passing by. I love the sound of wind in the rigging whether it be a sailboat marina or just a Kansas flag pole.
My parents are artists, my dad a photographer woodworker, builder, my mom a creator of all media like myself.
Favourite style of art: If its good I like it, I don't discriminate by style. heart is what maters, not skill.
I tend to avoid electronic gadgets and games and entertainment.

I thought it would be good to use for practice. you can even draw the comments you leave. I was going to use it for a daily art journal, just do a fast little doodle on there each day, but I haven't got going on it yet.
