Kovin stressaavaa on ollut koko kesä, ensin pääsykokeet, sitten tuloksien odottaminen ja nyt jännitetään kämpän saamista, enää kuukausi aikaa.. Suoraan sanottuna ei ole ollut kivaa tämä, kun ei jännittämiseltä kerkeä mitään järkevää tekemään.

Oi, ikäväähän se on. Toivottavasti kämppä irtoaa! Mutta onnittelut vielä opiskelupaikasta!

Yliopistolla olen tosiaan harjoittelussa ollut, ja siitä ehti olla kuukauden tauko. Tuli siis rentouduttua, vaikkei oikein mitään luovaa oikein ehtinytkään. Suunitelmia oli liikaa, joten aika vaan vierähti.

Itsekään en ole kauheasti maalaillut, liekö sitten laiskuutta vai mitä, mutta kesän tärkein tavoite on sentään saavutettu: kävin ensimmäistä kertaa Turun taidemuseossa (kyllä, koko ikäni lähistöllä asunut mutten koskaan ollut vielä käynyt..) sekä yhdessä galleriassa

Siellä on nyt sen "perusmuseon" lisäksi joku näyttely, jossa oli mustavalkoisia valokuvia, ja niitä oli paljon. Itse en oikein perustanut niistä, maalaukset yläkerrassa oli paljon kiinnostavampia. Mutta perjantaisin taidemuseoon pääsee neljän jälkeen ilmaiseksi sisään, eli kannattaa kyllä käydä

I've met many watchers of Interstellar in RL! I did like the epic scope of the story and the audio-visuals although the science side wasn't as realistic as advertised yet better than in most films. Your thoughts about the movie?

I should've read the books, but I'm such a lazy reader with studies as an excuse... And I enjoy reading science fiction more, although I'm creating a semi-fantasy world myself.

Want to hear about my conworld? Great! Most of the uploaded, poor drawings and writings are in my gallery. I can try to summarize, but it's hard because I'm building the world (& trying to avoid cliches), not writing a story... 

Prepare for the info dump:

The Hallan solar system has one fully habitable planet, Grundet, where humans reside and the flora and fauna are somewhat similar to earth ones but with different evolutionary paths. Several alien factions compete of the control of the solar system since it houses ancient, powerful technology: the planetary system is capable of penetrating into the Spiritual World, an ascended, infinite, transmultiversal library of all knowledge, which is endlessly running simulations of several possible multiverses.

The aliens gave humans and icefolk intelligence to get devoted followers with cores (reincarnated spirits from the spiritual world) which are used to control the "magic": due to the weak boundary between the worlds, elementary physics have become altered so that animate creatures can influence the inanimate matter, but with a set of rules. The level of technology is sort of a mix between enlightenment/industrial era and medieval/ancient egypt with interesting magetech.

The current date is a couple of years before the completion of the final spiritual cycle when the future destiny of the universe is to be decided.

Thank you very much! Neberku and Akekata are names of the world in different conlanguages and Akekata is often used to refer to the entire solar system. Icefolk are a humanoid race (yeti-like in appearance) whose culture disappeared a couple of millennia ago. As masters of icemagic, some of them might still be cryosleeping. (Sorry! My fault for not explaining well. Was a bit tired...)

I'm glad you like it so much! Well, if I ever happen to finish my studies and fail to find work, I might consider writing more... But even then the world would require more building! So maybe when I'm retired?

Actually, I believe, language creation has been the area with which I've worked the most (and my hypothetical book would feature heroes using local interpreters). Since I am to create an almost complete world, my inner perfectionist requires that I include all kinds of necessary things (as well as unnecessary ones). Currently, I'm lost in the infinity of the Spiritual World.

Thank you! Actually it was quite a nice 'n sunny day which I spent inside writing concalligraphy, watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show with my friends, and chatting for the evening. When walking home I could admire some noctilucent clouds.
