i've started dabbling in photography, although it's using a polaroid and not a digital camera!
i just like having the memory in my hands instead of posting it on the internet or stored on a computer.
i, too, am very judgemental and angry, along with anxious and insecure in general, but i try not to let that get in my way when it comes to interacting with others.

i'm fairly sure you can get it done in department stores like walmart?
they have photography booths there, but that was also a long time ago the last time i seen someone do it

yes but the last time i attempted it the lady decided i probably didn't want the pictures and told me she threw them out.
this was a problem because
a) the reason she decided i didn't want them was because they were of chairs. which is because i took pictures of chairs and
b) i was practicing with depth of field and testing my great-grandfather's camera to see if it works, which i needed the pictures to know, so to this day i still do not know if it works.

i was really fucking pissed.

well maybe the next time if you ever go to see if you can get them developed again then you could ask them to keep the pictures specifically to take caution that they won't throw it out
if she knew they were chairs then shouldn't that be some indication of the camera working?

yes, but what I needed to know is did the camera warp the pictures (since it couldn't be the film, it was new) in terms of lighting or something. i'll likely run another test with a new roll at some point, and have them developed somewhere besides that specific store or by that particular person.

either way, how dare she decide for me that i didn't want the pictures? is what the sticking point is to me.
